My husband and I were up in the area for the Labor Day weekend and stayed one night here. It's a throwback to the 1950's Mom & Pop motels. It was very neat & clean, beds were comfy, and it was nice and quiet. The only problem is the owner. I had read previous reviews where others have said the...

Let me premise this by saying we are used to staying in hotels as opposed to Motels so that may sway my review a bit, that being said there are not a lot of hotels to choose from in this area. I will say the day we stayed it was in the low 90's and my kids were looking forward...

The Belle Vista is the kind of motel popular with family travelers in the 1950's. It has clean, functional rooms. Ours came with a tiny refrigerator - that was not turned on when we arrived--and a microwave. The bathroom was small, but clean and had original fixtures. All was well maintained though. The management loaned me a hand vacuum so...

Great CLEAN motel. Very well maintained motel. Great price!! I usually avoid motels but this place is very clean and just a nicely kept motel. Would stay again. Bear Lake is just across the street. Owners onsite. Had a nice stay.

I took a group of women to Bella Vista for a bachelorette party and we stayed in one of their chalets -- it was HUGE and such a great deal! Very up-to-date, right on the water, and super cozy. We spent time at the bar as well, which had great service, drink prices, and food. The big dance floor was...

A great personally owned motel by a great couple. You can see the amount of time and effort they give to keeping it clean and retro! unloading the truck right in front of the door to the room was a real treat! Bear Lake is a quaint little town and a beautiful lake. There is nothing like upper Michigan!!

Nice place for a family get away. Motel was roomy, nice, had all the necessary amenities and was very clean. The kids were easily entertained after a day of sight seeing with the nice sized pool. When traveling through the beautiful north west side of the state this is a very accessible motel right off US-31, we will make a...

Stayed for one night. Wonderful location. Kids went straight in the pool for a 7pm dip. Rooms clean and warm welcome. This is an old fashioned quirky little place with lovely atmosphere and owned by veterans. We were given clean towels on arrival and told breakfast was until 10pm. Great if you like a lie in. Breakfast was continental with...

My wife reserved two nights. We arrived late which they kindly accommodated. We had a dog which we thought was acceptable (obvious misunderstanding) although I notice on a review below on this sight that they accommodated a pair of Golden Retrievers for another family. The first morning my wife stepped out the door with the dog (obviously not hiding the...

We booked our room the night before we arrived at double the advertised rate, telling the owner we would arrive around 4 or 5 the next day. Arrived a little after 5 the next day and the owner told us he gave our room away. He ran the credit card used to hold the room at 4 and it wouldn't...
