We stayed recently for 3 nights at this affordable, comfortable motel and enjoyed our stay very much. The room was clean, nicely decorated and well layed out. Continental breakfast consisting of interesting bagels, organic homemade breads, jams, fruit, oatmeal, cereals, juices, and coffee was an added bonus. The owner, Jill really made the experience wonderful to stay here. Her recommendations for... More

Just enjoyed another stay at Berkshire Hills as I like the location on a country road surrounded by natural landscaping, an inviting deck with colorful flowers, a cheerful living room and dining area with a wide choice of cold breakfast foods and a homebaked treat, cheerful staff, other interesting guests to visit with, and owner Jill with her warm and... Another great weekend - this is my 3rd time at the Berkshire Hills and I am going back in 2 weeks. Clean, friendly, great deck and flowers, courteous, helpful, great breakfast with homemade goodies. Interesting fellow guests. Jill runs a tight ship with a smile. A real find!

Like previous reviewers, we felt led astray by Tripadvisor. The good reviews seems to outweigh the bad by far, but in this case reading the bad reviews at least give you a lens to read the good ones through. Generally skeptics on bad reviews, some (not all) of the negative comments are worth reading. For us there were 2 big... More

Thank you for posting your feedback regarding your stay with me. I only wish you had shared your thoughts prior to your departure, so I could have addressed them then. Based on your comments, I am pleased to respond. The reason the building appeared two tones during your stay was because it was being painted. Undoubtedly, the preparation during the... More

We stayed one night here-one night too many. First of all, the room smelled damp as did the bathroom. It was dirty-there were several cob webs and tons of dust. The air conditioner filter was disgusting. The worst part of the evening was the huge spider - about the size of a half dollar - that we found in our... More

After staying at this motel, I could not see how I was led so astray. It had a great price and great reviews but I wish more people had posted like this person did in 2010:"Wow, this is the first time Trip Advisor has led me seriously astray. We are young people with a high tolerance for quirkiness/ imperfection, but... More

A delightful stay at an immaculate laid-back motel with quiet rooms, and warmth, warmth, warmth from owner Jill and her staff. Recommendations for restaurants and attractions were exactly right for our needs and interests. Breakfasts provided each morning, with home-baked breads, cereals, fruit, and superb coffee were pleasant starters for the day. Rooms, protected from road and other noises, have... More

When we think of the Berkshires, we think of the Berkshire Hills Motel. In all respects this motel provides comfort, cleanliness and good cheer. The innkeeper, Jill, has a wonderful people personality. She takes time from her busy morning to help people find not only the right place to visit but the best way to get there. She has placed... First off, we enjoyed our stay, it was good value, and we would stay again. But make sure you set your expectations. Rooms are typical of older motels, but well maintained, clean, tidy, and nicely decorated. Size is typical of the era (a tad small), but then you didn't come to the Berkshires to sit around in your hotel room.... More

We slept two nights at Berkshire Hills Motel. The motel is surrounded by beautiful nature and is located not far from Williamstown. Jill, the owner, was extremely warm, friendly and very helpful in all kind of ways. As a danish family, having traveled around the north eastern US, it has without doubt been the best motel we have checked in... More
