Apart from The Berkshires being amazing, this hotel is a complete experience. It's like going back in time, it is full of interesting little details and it's so cozy, had one of the best days ever. The rooms are decorated with such good taste, the restaurant is delicious the whole experience is worth the visit.

Enjoyed our first time stay at this historic inn. It is a very busy place with a fine restaurant, good quiet rooms and a friendly staff. We particularly enjoyed the sitting areas. Very clean historic environment. Recommend a stay.

I am really disappointed! I have wanted to come to this particular Inn, because of it's history, and location! We arrived, the room was lovely and of course old! The time we stayed there, it was quite cold and windy, and unfortunately this was reflected in the room! The 1st night wasn't too bad as far as being cold, but...

While I have been to the Red Lion Inn many times in the past this was my first time I have ever stayed in one of their guest house's. This trip I stayed in the Maple Glen House and I was very impressed! My wife swears she will only stay in the main Inn but if you want something that...

Thank you for sharing your experience of your most recent stay with us in our newest guest house, Maple Glen. As you said in your generous review, this guest house offers more modern amenities (like a Keurig coffeemaker and radiant heated tile floors in the bathroom) with a contemporary feel while still honoring the traditional and quirky antiques our loyal...

We dined here for lunch. We had a strange start to our experience. Once we were seated our drink order was taken right away. After that, we didn't see our waiter again for about 20 minutes. The restaurant wasn't packed, but it was definitely busy. He eventually brought our drinks over and took our order. To start, my husband had...

The Red Lion Inn is the beating heart of Stockbridge, a town that really represents what people have loved about the Berkshires for hundreds of years. The busy inn is larger than we expected and is filled with a quirky collection of artwork that ranges from colonial antiques to modern photographs. Our room was small but had a nice fireplace...

An interesting and historic Inn that was nice to see but not such a great place to stay. The room was very small. The furniture, dilapidated and unkempt looked like it had been purchased at a yard sale. The room was cold and stayed cold despite manipulating the thermostat. There were holes in the sheets. The bathroom was tiny. The...

Thank you for sharing your experience. As an historic Inn, all of our rooms are different and vary in both size and configuration. We are not a cookie cutter chain hotel, and we take pride in our history of hospitality. To ensure that we provide the best guest experience, we recommend calling the Reservations Department directly so they can match...

The Red Lion Inn is one of the old, great inns of yesteryear, a perfect relief from the big chains. It has wonderfully wide halls with cabinets filled with interesting things like teacups. It’s worth wandering around to see it all. Every room is different. The porch has loads of seating, and is a wonderful place to sip, chat, watch,...

My sweetheart and I did not have a chance to take a vacation together this year as she did some traveling with her lady friends. So I suggested a trek up to the Berkshires and a weekend stay at the Red Lion Inn. I had been to the Red Lion Inn twice before and found it so relaxing and a...

I am so delighted to hear that you and your sweetheart were able to enjoy a weekend getaway in the Berkshires! In a lot of ways, The Red Lion Inn is like a living museum, with its curio cabinets filled with curiosities varying from one of the last remaining candlestick holders made for the Widow Bingham’s Tavern to the tiny...

We stayed at the Red Lion on the weekend of my wife's birthday. We chose one of the many properties outside of the main inn. It was a fabulous experience. The staff was great, the accommodations excellent. We did have access to the main inn and found it to be friendly and relaxing. I highly recommend this inn.
