Serenity and hospitality. Mrs Martin’s B&B is a haven where you are greeted with warmth and sweetness (heavenly lemon cake and tea) and instantly calmed by the beauty and peacefulness of the surrounding countryside. Mary‘s generosity can be felt through many little details during your stay. Her rooms are spacious, her wifi functional, her breakfasts… scrumptious. This B&B is a gem. Don’t hesitate.

As soon as we stepped into Bayside B&B, we felt at home. Our host, Pete, greeted us at the door with a big smile and made us feel immediately welcome as he gave us some tea and lemon bread upon arrival.
The views out of our bedroom window were beautiful looking down the estuary with rolling green hills and cattle.
The room was quiet, and the hostess was very accomodating and helped us plan our adventures every day with maps.
And the breakfast….one of the best we’ve had in Ireland. Cheeses, breads, fruits, full Irish breakfast, juices, coffees and teas. Enough to fill you up for a good part of the day.
The only negative I would add is that the wifi was spotty and didn’t work that well in the far bedroom.

We had a lovely stay at Bayside! We arrived late but we kept them informed. Mary encouraged us to enjoy our time out and they were very gracious. We really liked Mary's traditional Irish breakfast with fruit and yogurt available and she was sweet and helpful with our travel plans. The location was peaceful and beautiful even though it offered quick access to main travel roads. The tea and coffee in our room was an extra special touch. You can't go wrong staying in this clean and friendly B&B!

Too bad I can only give Bayside 5 stars. I don't think that there is anything I can add to the other reviewers in their praise of the place. It was just far enough out of town to be quiet, but still very convenient to all of the points of interest. Food was great, beds were comfortable. I went down for a day from a bad oyster a couple of days earlier and there was an endless flow of toast and tea coming from the kitchen. Thank you Mary

We went on a honeymoon trip and Mary was more than delightful. She was very accommodating when traffic held us up and got their late, we just called and let her know. She still greeted us with tea and cake and made us feel so at home. The view is the morning is breathtaking and her breakfast is just top notch, I recommend the traditional irish. I even accidently left my watch after leaving, we weren't too far so we turned around to go get and she met us at the door with it and said if worst case she would have mailed it back to us! The most kind hearted person ever. I can't wait to stay again.

A lovely location overlooking a small estuary with the water rising and falling with the tide. Very peaceful, good room and a lovely breakfast. Mary is very attentive and seems to like having guests in her home. At the time I think we were the only English people the other guests were from Europe and America.

We were late in arriving to this beautiful B and B. We called to let Mary know we were running late. She put us so at ease and told us to stop and have supper. She is delightful and our rooms were meticulous. We so much appreciated her hair dryer in our rooms since we had been out hiking before checking in. Our only regret is not making plans to stay longer with her and in this beautiful area.

We highly recommend this bed-and-breakfast. It is very comfortable and accommodating, plus the food is delicious! There were even pastries waiting for us upon arrival! It is nestled out of town and it is the perfect place to take a walk. The hosts were so kind, and extremely helpful and accommodating! Plus, there are sheep to greet you in the morning… A definite plus!

Warm and cosy. We felt at home immediately. Such a nice welcome. Succulent breakfast (Irish breakfast but also smoked salmon and scrambled eggs)The scenery is beautiful. Our room overlooked a lough whose aspect changed according to the tide. It was quiet and not too far from Donegal. We enjoyed our stay and think it is the best bed and breakfast we've ever had during our trip in Ireland.

We were met by the host on our arrival, shown our room and then treated to tea and biscuits in the lounge. The room was very comfortable and very clean. All facilities were there both for tea coffee ect and in the shower with ample towels and hot water.
Breakfast was plentiful, all freshly cooked with various choices. All cooked and served by Mary who was also very friendly and pleasant.
I would recommend this establishment to anyone who wants a quiet time, with wonderful views down the valley and into the Donnegal bay.
