I needed a centrally located place to stay in the Boston area. Found 'A Village B&B' on TripAdvisor. What a find! Claudia was flexible with my schedule, congenial and runs a very hospitable B&B. Sometimes travel is so harried one simply needs a clean and comfortable place to lay one's head at the end of the day and this place...

We stayed at this wonderful B & B as part of a special treat that included going to a Boston Red Sox game. The place is so excellent that we hope to make this an annual excursion. All the rooms we saw there were beautifully clean, and well-appointed without being fussily over-decorated. Our large bedroom had a lovely screened porch...

Spent a week at the Village B&B and enjoyed every minute. Ideally situated for catching the commuter train into Boston and residing in the beautiful little town of Newton. The house and decor are delightful as is the host. Faultless, would love to return if lucky enough to be in the Boston area in the future. 10/10

My wife and I spent a week in the village bed & breakfast . We stayed in the penthouse suite, which we found to be perfect for our needs and exactly as described in the information. The house was spotless and beautifully maintained. Claudia was the perfect host: nothing was too much trouble, extremely helpful, full of local knowledge and...

Gee so great to meet you and appreciate your taking the time to write this review--I was sad when you left too, the venue allows meeting lovely people, but then having to say adieu so soon. Love to have you back anytime. You are wonderful and appreciative guests, make doing this so worthwhile. Claudia

As a married couple we enjoyed our 1st time experience at a B&B. We stayed in the 1st floor king bed suite which was in the rear of the house. It had all the amenities we needed. Small refrigerator, plenty of clean towels, private bath with tub and shower which had two heads was heavenly. In room large sceen TV...

Not sure that I can do your wonderful bed and breakfast accommodation justice in a review Claudia. It's more that just accommodation, from the first moment I contacted Claudia to book this B and B till the moment we left nothing was too much trouble. We were kindly allowed to drop off our luggage at 11 am before dropping the...

Thank you for such a wonderful time with your family. I was sad to see you go, but appreciate your continued caring in your follow up email about 9/11 as well. You were such a nice family, so open, and easy and I felt like we were great friends. I had a surge of folks from the UK after you...

Claudia is a wonderful hostess! From her warm arrival-day greeting to the variety of our departure-day breakfast, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Our only regret is not being able to stay longer. The B & B is well-appointed with creature comforts, and extra touches include free off-street parking and access to reload-able pass cards for using mass...

I stayed at A Village B&B while visiting Boston College. It's a great location: in the charming village of Newton Highlands, close to BC and the Riverside line of the T. The Walnut Grille vegetarian / vegan restaurant and Bread and Chocolate café are in easy walking distance. The breakfast was very fine and the hostess was very friendly. Kate's...

My wife and i travel to the Boston area every summer to visit friends. We stay in B&Bs so that we can plan time with friends and time for ourselves. A Village B&B proved to be the perfect "home away from home." Located not far from Rte 128 in the center of Newton Highlands, we could leave the car in...

We needed a place to stay next to relatives in Newton. Although we were in a rush and were less than thoughtful in providing our arrival plans, we were greeted with consideration and care. The two adjacent rooms worked great for 2 adults and 2 kids, no complaints. The area is a very nice residential neighborhood, some shops/restaurants within very...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A Village B and B is a homestay B & B in the heart of Newton Highlands village, steps away from restaurants, craft and clothing stores and salons. It is a bustling village complete with commerce, and offers the convenience of a great walkability score. The MBTA to Boston is steps away for access to downtown, sites, and the airport all while not needing a car. Our rooms are busiest during May through November, so reserve early beginning with the Boston Marathon. We are convenient to major routes such as the MA Turnpike, I-95 and Route 9. Great location for trips to Fenway Park, local colleges such as Boston College, Brandeis, LaSalle, and Mount Ida, not far from Babson and Olin colleges as well. Many of our guests come for workshops at Samadhi Yoga Center, the Jungian Institute, or Healing Arts in Watertown. We have rooms with private bathrooms and shared bath. Prices float accordingly. We offer a continental breakfast each morning with home made and bakery items as well as yogurt, cheese, fruits, and beverages, according to what is allowed for small B and Bs in our state. ... more   less
