Decided to make a trip to Newburyport at the last minute and found this lovely little spot. Only two rooms and a shared bath, but Chuck and Anne made us feel like family. Our room had a view of the river and a sweet back garden, very close to town but also on the road out to Plum Island, which...

We wanted a long weekend get away somewhere we had never been that wasn't too far from home, fit our budget and offered a unique experience. We hit the jackpot at 167 Water B&B. Unique...quirky...just wonderful. Chuck and Anne are great hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. They provided wonderful tips about where to go and what...

Before reading any further, please note that I'm reviewing this property without having stayed there, because I think it's important to know a few things before you book here. Two couples in town for my wedding weekend earlier this month stayed at this property - on my recommendation, because it was among the least-expensive options in town. I had spent...

I am very sorry we were not at home when you arrived. I wish you had called us first, as we were probably out fetching groceries or doing errands. We tell our guests to pull up onto the sidewalk to drop off their bags and then we show them how to get to the parking behind our house. It is...

My daughter and I stayed for 2 nights during a lacrosse camp she attended at a nearby prep school. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hosts were delightfully helpful and generously offered up all the conveniences of their home. The room and bed were quite comfortable. Newburyport is the perfect New England beachy town. If you're in the area, stay...

We enjoyed a two night stay in the Bamako Room during mid July. The decor was eclectic but tasteful and the bed was extremely comfortable. I appreciated some of the extra touches like bathrobes for guests and the air conditioner worked wonderfully. Sharing the bathroom was not an issue during our stay. There was never a time that had to...

We stayed with two children for one night. Our kids brought sleeping bags and we were charged only $10 extra. The rooms are beautiful, breakfast was ample and delicious, and Anne and Chuck went out of their way to make the visit work well, including making a dinner reservation for us before we arrived. We had the back room (Sorrento)...

This time I spent two weeks at 167 Water Street. It was a wonderful time. It was within easy walking distance of everything. Anzie and Chuck gave me the names of several local restaurants that turned out to be great. What a warm and welcoming couple. The room was nice and clean and had wonderful breezes. I will return next...
