I would reccomend this place to anyone looking for a more rustic resort type of property. The staff was extremely friendly and accomodations met my needs. The property is really beutiful and worth the price I paid. I did stay off-season though, I'm not certain I would pay full summer rate as the accomodations were a little more basic than...

We used to stay here, and loved the cottage we rented. Then new management came, and the rental prices skyrocketed. The cottages have been updated a bit, but it is not worth paying over $4,000 for a one-bedroom cottage. We have recently rented a whole house, with two or three bedrooms for around $2,300. So, yes, it is a beautiful...

Dear Mv Vacation, I'm glad you appreciate how beautiful it is here and we value your opinion as a returning guest who make up 76 percent of our guests! As my faily and I have owned the inn for 20 years- we are the third owners in 94years- i'm not sure what you mean by new management? Yes the prices...

Stunning setting and beautifully quaint cottages with all the amenities. Rode bikes to Gay Head, walked around the picturesque property and witnessed the gorgeous sunsets. Quiet and relaxing - the perfect place to enjoy a weekend in the Vineyard.

Dear Guest, We are so glad you enjoyed the Menemsha Inn and Cottages. It really is a special spot on planet Earth! How smart was Dewolf Thompson to build twelve cottages on his water view sheep pasture ninety four years ago? Thank you so much for taking the time to write. Looking forward to seeing you soon. First, I would definitely stay here again. There are many things to recommend this property. We loved the proximity to Menemsha village itself. We could phone in our lobster order to Larsen's during the day and pick it up just before dinner, a two minute drive from the Inn. We absolutely loved that our cottage came with a pass to...

Dear Carol, Thank you for staying with us and for the detaild feedback. We really appreciate your taking the time to write especially you clearly appreciate the our private cottages tucked away in our special corner of the world! So sorry that the porch windows did not open...and the the ac did not work., , consider that added to the...

We had previously stayed at the Inn and loved the location and rustic charm. Having not been there in 2 years we immediately noticed it had declined. Driving up to find a screen falling out of the window which remained for days, office with shabby furniture and only a simple pot of coffee not even in a carafe in the...

Dear Jeannell, I apologize for for the poor shape your room was in last fall. You are quiye right that we were absentee owners last year. My whole family was engaged in making a documentay film for National Geographic - Sea Of Hope - about ways we can reverse the decline of our Oceans. The film aired around the world...

We visited in early August with two of our children, ages 9 and 12. This was not our first trip to The Vineyard, but it was our first trip to Menemsha. Due to this being planned at the last minute, we were unable to bring a vehicle and subsequently had to take the bus. It's a bit of a process...

We stayed at the Menemsha Inn in July 2016. It was a wonderful, welcoming experience, near all the things we wanted to do up island. The Inn has tennis courts and a gym, but it was the grounds and seclusion that made it extra special. Highly recommended

Dear Hinibob, T hank you for taking the time to write and share how much you enjoyed your stay. It means a lot to me and ]our hard working team! The Inn is always great but the lack of a breakfast at the Inn itself removes the community aspect of the cottages where guests would introduce themselves to each other and linger over coffee and breakfast. Restaurant at the Beach Plum is not the same ambience. Also leaves the dining room with this sad emptiness about it. It serves no...

In the interest of good will I'm choosing to share my specific experiences directly with the management. It is enough to say, read the negative reviews here. They are the reality of our experience. Not sure where the good reviews came from. Virginia at the front desk is as wonderful as everyone says. The setting couldn't be much better but...
