We just returned from our second stay with Suzanne Thomas at 17 Chestnut Street B&B in beautiful Marblehead MA. Our first visit was in October 2012 as Hurricane Sandy approached. The food was wonderful and the hostess was quite engaging and accommodating (no pun intended). Our departing Boston Logan flight was cancelled so we were forced to ride out the...

17 Chestnut is the perfect B&B! Suzanne, a charming and welcoming hostess has thought of everything a guest might want or need. Our room was very clean as well as comfortable with ample storage for a week's worth of vacationing in Marblehead. Light and airy, beautifully decorated with family and local history, yet not cluttered. We enjoyed the variety of...

My friend and I were planning a trip to Salem and found Suzanne's B&B while searching for a place to stay. After reading the other reviews we were hooked. All the reviews were so true. Suzanne made us feel right at home and her little dog Esther was the icing on the cake. We both missed our own pets while...

Suzanne and her little dog Esther were wonderful hostesses. A friend and I stayed there for 4 nights, and everytime we headed back after a long day of sightseeing and shopping, it was always to go 'home'. Since we both have pets at home that we missed, we really enjoyed visiting with Esther, who was very quiet and sweet. Suzanne...

I have recently moved away from Massachusetts and had to return on business. Suzanne Thomas' wonderful house was just what I needed to revisit a place like Marblehead. The authenticity of the house, location, and Suzanne was a real treat. A glimpse of the Massachusetts coast at its best!! Marblehead is not a town to miss, and 17 Chestnut is...

Always have a wonderful stay at "17 Chestnut" when visiting Marblehead. Run by Suzanne Thomas, this delightful B&B is just one block off of "Old Town" with its array of eclectic shops and restaurants. Rooms are clean, comfortable and extremely reasonable. Suzanne greets you each morning with a continental breakfast and great conversation. She goes out of her way to...

Really enjoyed my stay in this spotless, comfortable B & B run by Suzanne. I felt instantly welcomed and at home in this quiet home near the water. Having only two rooms upstairs meant a lot of privacy (even though both were occupied) and though the bath was shared I never saw or heard the other guest in the bathroom....

“There are only two (2) rooms and both were very comfortable.”

“It's a small place, but well worth it. The 2 upstairs rooms, Thomas and Powers, have a shared bath, but it's not much of a problem and the price is right. The Gordon room has a private bath and is on the first floor. I stayed in Powers and had no problem with sharing a bath.”
