Very reasonable price, clean room, flexible hours. Lots of birds, chipmunks and squirrels at the windows, since she feeds them, and she's surrounded by woods. You can walk across the street to Walden Pond, and drive to Concord and surrounding area.

We were fortunate enough to get down twice so far to Thoreau's Walden B&B. We could not possibly say enough about how great it is. Barbara is as genuine an embracer of life as Thoreau, which reflects on the abundance of life around the place. You walk right across the road to Walden pond. How could it get any better...

We stayed at Thoreau's Walden B&B for one night in the winter, and Barbara was great about setting up a fire in the main room for us to stay warm and making us feel comfortable. Very nice + cozy room with beautiful views of Walden Pond and a backyard full of birds and a delicious breakfast of fruit, omelettes and...

4 of us stayed here while visiting Concord/Lexington in September. Barbara was an absolute delight and made delicious breakfasts for us each morning. We stayed upstairs in a very spacious room where you can look out front and see a glimpse of Walden Pond across the street. The wooded property surrounding Barbara's home is beautiful, and she has filled it...

My fiancé and I stayed two nights at the Thoreau's Walden B&B and we couldn't have been happier. Barbara the Inn Keeper is what you would expect your grandmother to be. Very pleasant to converse with and she makes a very wholesome breakfast. Although the dogs were present they were in the kitchen with Barbara every time we were at...

The room was nice and the breakfast was good but the greatest thing was the location. It is directly across the street from Walden Pond. You can actually see the Pond from their front yard. You just have to cross the street to connect to the trails that take you completely around the Pond where you can see the original site...

We planned a three day visit to Concord, MA to visit the literary and historical sites. What better place to stay than literally across the road from Walden Pond! Early mornings we would walk across the road to walk around it, in the evenings we walked over to sit and admire the view. Our hostess was as endearing as they...

Location is perfect, literally across the road from Walden Pond, and dining in Lincoln offers many possibilities. Our hostess is kind, thoughtful and accommodating and our upstairs room was a good size. House is homey, complete with a large family room which guests can use. But there are 4 small, short-haired dogs which have the run of the house when...

We would return in a heartbeat. We had the bedroom over the garage. Barbara was an absolute delight. We had a wonderful view of the pond. The house is far enough back from the road that you don't realize there is any traffic. Very convenient to town. All in all a great find on the Internet.

This charming little bed and breakfast is literally across the road from Walden Pond, made famous by Henry David Thoreau in his book, "Walden." The innkeeper, Barbara, is one of the nicest people we have ever met. The minute we arrived we felt right at home. We stayed in a really nice little room with a queen bed, and a...
