The private dining room was lovely. The service was fine but nothing over the top. The wine steward took us on a tour of the caves and was charming and knowledgeable. I felt she was sincere and accommodating . The meal was good but nothing over the top or special for the price. Portions were skimpy for a prix fixe...

I have spent most of my life in hotels. The first 30 years as a global traveler for government and industry, and the last few as domestic traveler for a major technology firm. I've been everywhere, not just the "good" places. I've stayed in some of the best hotels in the world (not kidding) and also some of the worst...

We stayed in the Crimson suite over the weekend of 7/26 for our 30th wedding anniversary. The suite is large and bright, and features a balcony perfect for reading and lounging. The staff strive to meet your every wish. The grounds are spacious and well tended. Most important, the Blantyre is quiet and an oasis from the world. Our afternoon...

Very few establishments in the United States can compare to the Blantyre across all rating categories. The owners make it a point to ensure that your every need it taken care of and you will not find a more respectful or caring staff. The quality can only compare to the finest of the Loire Valley chateaus and that goes for...

Words simply cannot explain the experience of staying at Blantyre! Yes, I know it is expensive but it is so worth it. The house and the grounds are beautiful and there is just an atmosphere of quiet calm. This is a place to come to and relax - read on the covered porch, sit in one of the public rooms...

The staff makes you feel like they are there just for you- and they are... The food beautifully prepared and served, breakfast and dinner. Our room , the Paterson suite, old world charm and perfectly appointed...so much caring and love permeates the whole inn- the perfect get away, thankyou Ann, and of course 'Luke'!

Today, I had lunch at Blantyre. It was wonderful in every way - the food, the atmosphere, and above all, the service. Pascal was the perfect host. Our experience was as pleasurable as it was because he was so accommodating and gracious. I will definitely be coming back!

My husband surprised me with a trip to the Berkshires this weekend for my birthday. He booked our stay at the Blantyre, and from the moment we drove up the long driveway and entered the house, I knew we were in for an unforgettable experience! The house is absolutely gorgeous and we were lucky enough to be upgraded to the...

This place is a big comfortable house with staff that makes sure you stay comfortable. We stayed in a room in the main house (the blue room), which probably added to the charm of the stay, since we could simply walk downstairs for drinks or food. The Tudor entry hall had fires burning at both ends all day long. In...

Even in the cold weather, with many attractions closed, Blantyre is worth a visit. Indeed, it may be better, as one does not feel guilty about preferring to stay on the property. What a beautiful property it is, with vistas of the hills, trails to walk (or in this case snow shoe or cross country ski), tennis courts frozen over...
