At the onset I will admit that I am not a fan of Bed and Breakfast Inns, because there is great variability as to their accommodations in comparison to a corporate hotel/motel which gives you a pretty well known standard of accommodation. Considering the price I paid, I expected more than I received. From the outside, the Inn looked pleasing.... More

I think this Inn is in need of renovations desperately. We stayed only one night but will not return again. The lady at the front desk was friendly and provided our breakfast. My thoughts are that this could be a beautiful B&B but the renovations to repair and update may be cost prohibitive.

I think this inn was adequate for our needs. We were not willing to pay the $500 + a night that other inns in the area were charging and we wanted something with history and charm. This felt like staying at my grandmother's house. The place is old and looks old, but I found that to be part of the... More

Stay far away! The inn is run down and in need of major renovations. As soon as you set foot inside a musty smell hits you straight away. The grounds are not looked after and there is visible dust and cobwebs inside. The room we were given, #29, was appalling! The bedspread was COVERED in yellow and brown stains, it... More

Given your experience at The Village Inn, your severe disappointment is very understandable. While we, the staff, agree 100% that the building is in very tired shape, and in need of major renovations, we do everything in our limited power to make things right amongst our disappointed guests, and we are horrified by your experience. If you read many of... More

We selected this place based on the info they gave us that it was walking distance to Tanglewood. It is NOT (and I am a walker). It's horribly overpriced and the rooms are downright shoddy. The showers are a hazard as you'd need to step into a deep tub. The positives---good location, off-street parking, pretty good breakfast and nice seating... More

Despite excellent location - I can not recommend the Inn at this point. Tremendous need for renovation, repair, painting, & upgrades of all types (wifi, tv). Hope the Inn gets the love it needs. Sorry

Felt more like a motel than an inn. Very unkept .and Terribly overpriced! I would not recommend staying here!. The property looked neglected and unkept--inside and out. Grounds were not maintained. Inside was musty and dank with visible cobwebs. We were shocked at the room rates that were being charged. overall creepy vibe here. The tv in the room had... More

That's how it feels staying here. You can imagine the many people (and stories) who have passed through this old inn, located right in the heart of downtown Lenox. The rooms are comfortable--all you need but no bells and whistles. The breakfast is outstanding. Substantive, great service. You can walk to everything in town, including great restaurants and ice cream.... More

Overnight stay for a Tanglewood concert. Plus: very convenient location, off street parking, ability to get a nice beer before dinner in town. Minus: Rooms very un-updated and a bit bare bones and cramped (and we were on tier 2, wonder what tier 1 was like?), and the hallways and stairs looked equally a bit tired. It was adequate for...
