My husband and I wanted an historic Inn located in Lenox,Mass. We found the Birchwood Inn on Trip Advisor. It dates to the 1700's. Usually, these type of B&B's range from fabulous to fraught with problems. The Birchwood is run by people who care about...More

My sister and I take a yearly trip to different areas of the US and always stay at Bed and Breakfasts. We have stayed at quite a few since we have been doing this about 16 years now, so we know what to look for,...More

Thank you for the kind words... Tom and I are so enjoying our new lives as innkeepers and it makes it even more special to hear that we have made your stay special. Come back soon!
Though our visit could only last one night, the owners of the inn and our hosts for the evening made us a little part of their family, including our dog, who received her own treat. The (1767) Birchwood Inn, formerly the home of prominent colonial...More

I just spent the most delightful week at the Birchwood Inn. Debbie and Tom are the most gracious, welcoming and accommodating hosts - and just an all-around lovely couple. The inn is perfectly situated on the border of Lenox village, within walking distance to great...More

Hi Linda - Yes, we are one block from the village of Lenox that has a dozen restaurants and various shops mixed in with them. We also have a grocery, a pharmacy, a wine and cheese shop all in the village. The nearby town of Lee has an outlet mall and there are many antique stores scattered throughout the Berkshires. We are about one mile from Tanglewood. Regards, Tom and Debbie, Innkeepers
