I and a friend went on day passes to Kripalu; my first visit to storied Kripalu did not disappoint. Even tho we were not scheduled into a regular program, we took advantage of scheduled events available to everyone with day passes. Three offerings over two days led by staff instructor Michelle Dalbec provided enough continuity for me to grasp the...

Came to Kripalu to do a teacher training with a teacher I highly revere and wanted to do an "immersion" experience-- couldn't have been happier. Simple sleeping situation - excellent food (great variety for any diet)- beautiful setting amongst the mountains and a nearby lake. Would've loved to do more hiking but weather not that cooperative-- a fun area to...

First the good: The food was perhaps the best I have ever had on vacation. Healthy, varied, and delicious. Quiet breakfast was nice, since it is the only place quiet. Now the bad: My stay was very stressful. Ironic, considering what Kripalu is supposed to be about. The classes were so jammed that I was literally banging my head against...

I visited Kripalu with my mom and sister for an R&R retreat. The food is incredibly fresh, healthy and delicious. Overall, we had a nice weekend, but I found the quality of the yoga instructors to be average if not poor. As a person who comes to Kripalu, I am a seasoned yogi and I found myself uninspired by the...

Wonderful weekend, great caring teachers and delicious food. The long weekend was very good for my soul. I will definitely go again. I would have given my retreat 5 stars, However With little notice and on one of the coldest days of the year they cancelled the indoor core class and only offered two outdoor hiking classes- no other options....

When I first drove up ... I was a little surprised at the "institutional" look of the building which used to be a Jesuit Monastery. I got over that within a few hours ... all the Yoga classes were great, there were back to back workshops to attend the entire week for R&R visitors and the food was fabulous ......

If you love the way Whole Foods has become commercialized for the masses, you will love Kripalu. Like Whole Foods, Kripalu was ahead of it's time, had great values and offered a lot of value. Also like Whole Foods, Kripalu has catered to the masses, raised it's prices and compromised the ethics it started with. I have been going to...

I don't know anyone who wouldn't benefit from a few days at Kripalu. The classes are excellent, the food is good, but the best part for me was walking the grounds. Stunning, even in the dead of winter. One note: though the property discourages wearing perfume, the bath products they provide are so strong that I had a reaction to...

This is the second time I've purchased a day pass for a Kripalu yoga retreat and it is always a wonderful treat for the body and spirit. We got up early for the 2-hour drive from Boston to the wonderful Berkshire mountains. The day begins with a silent breakfast: delicious, organic, locally-sourced foods in a quiet dining room, before selecting...
