The rooms are expensive yet cramped (perhaps because they are overcrowded with furniture), and there is no personal expression (like books). It feels like a regular inn--comfortable, clean but not unusual. At the price we paid ($280 per night plus...

I would rate Gloria and Len Friedman as the most superb hosts with a perfectly run B&B. Every detail at the hotel was perfectly thought out, everything you would need from a beautiful breakfast to delicious late evening snacks

My husband and I visited the Applegate Inn for the first time for two nights to see James Taylor at Tanglewood and take advantage of the other area attractions such as theater and galleries. What a wonderful experience! Len and Gloria were gracious hosts, with a great sense of humor and attention to every detail before we even thought of...

My husband and I went to the Applegate Inn for a weekend away from NYC. Our kids are in sleep away camp and we were looking for a quiet, nice place in the Berkshires. What a place. From the moment we arrived we fell in love with Applegate Inn and Gloria and Len. We had 2 separate rooms during our 4 night stay and both were wonderful and comfortable. Our 4 poster bed was amazing. Each afternoon there is cheese and wine laid out which encourages the guests to relax and to socialise with...

For slightly more than an ordinary B and B you can stay in the spacious, meticulously restored Applegate. Len and Gloria are attentive, friendly, and will assist you in any way you need. The breakfasts are just lovely and I could happily live...

My husband and I wanted a quick weekend getaway to relax and unwind after a busy holiday season. The Applegate Inn delivered! Len and Gloria were very gracious and the Inn is lovely. We stayed in Room 1 which was very spacious; it had a wonderful steam shower and wood-burning fireplace. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The afternoon wine and...

This B&B is incredible! The staff are so attentive, friendly and helpful from the moment we walked through the front door. From restaurant suggestions and reservations to help with hiking trails and places to visit, the folks at the Applegate could not have been more helpful. All that was in addition to a beautiful location for the B&B, fabulous breakfasts...

I'm a travel writer from Australia and we were in the New England states as leaf-peepers. We came upon Applegate Inn quite by chance. It was a memorable stay. Len and Gloria made us very welcome - and we had the best room in the house. Everything was great, down to the smallest detail. Loved the cookies and fruit around...
