We arrived a little early so our room wasn't quite ready, but we were able to leave our car and the receptionist helpfully recommended some good suggestions for a bite to eat and a short wander before check in. At check in Tommy was really friendly and helpful - he gave us loads of tips for places to eat and...

Hello David and thank you! Glad you liked the card, bubbly, and rose petals the ladies added for your anniversary too! This time of year most of the restaurants have closed, though a few stalwarts remain. (The Black Cat a block away.) We've just been going through a beautiful Indian Summer here... and now the leaves are coming down en...

Stayed in room 24. First thing I checked was sheets which looked gently used certainly not pressed or smooth. There is a coffee maker in the room but no cups able to hold hot liquid?? They also should consider mounting the tv on the wall to get it off the desk as well as the alarm clock which should be...

Hello Craiger and thank you for your review! First off I'd like to let you know that Terri and Al are doing great in their (semi-retired) move to Sarasota. I visited last Autumn to find her so relaxed - not the Tasmanian Devil I was so used to seeing hurrying about! If you're ever down that way you'll have to...

The hotel was good value for the money. But has gone down from the excellent reviews from before The amazing front desk isn't there anymore. The people at the front desk barely spoke to us. Rooms are clean. We had a room on the ground floor so you can hear all the footsteps above you as the floors are all...

Hello Swoop and thank you for your review! I'm sorry to hear about the front desk - my shift just got changed to a 4PM start, and I don't know about the how well the gals up front inform now that I'm not there. Please anyone though: Feel free to come up and ask for a local (or island) map...

My husband and I who are 70+ were put in a room on the second floor. There is no elevator! We drug 3 heavy suitcases up a narrow stairway. The room was small and crowded. I'm glad we were there just one night to get the ferry the next day.

Hello Susan. I'm sorry I couldn't place you downstairs yesterday as we were fully booked and everyone was in, so I couldn't trade rooms at that point. I'd like to take this as an opportunity though for all to consider: Motels (not hotels) rarely have elevators, so when you book a room, *request* your preference of upstairs or downstairs. If...

In a great location with a 5 minute walk to the harbour one way and another 5 to the main street. Hello LondonFifi and thank you for your review! Many of those "best places to eat" are now closed for the season, though the Black Cat hangs in there most of the year with the exception of January, and they have the local favorites (whole-belly clams; lobster rolls) as well as plenty of non-seafood items. A few places on Main street...

Very well located close to ferry terminals. Room good size with reasonable facilties. On arrival two lights not working, but were fixed quite quickly. Thank you for your review Paul. I'm not originally from the area and don't know much history other than that where Baxter's Fish & Chips is located is where the town started (on the map I give out when folks ask for restaurants to eat at), but I don't know anything more than that. My apologies.

I've stayed at many excellent hotels and motels, but there's almost always one little detail that's overlooked. No clock in the room. A light bulb that needs replacing. A shower without a soap holder. And so on. But try as I might, I couldn't think of anything at this place. They'd thought of everything. And it was clean, comfortable light...

Master Graham: Thank you so kindly good sir! Honestly though - the reason everything was good was because the ladies-behind-the-scenes read these reviews, notice our shortcomings, and take action! The owner, Sandy, heads the gang there, and our repeat customers will notice glass dishes and cups instead of paper/plastic now, hard-boiled eggs back on the counter for breakfast, better curtains...

Great location for moving around Hyannis. We had a decent sized room with a comfortable bed. Very clean and comfortable. We like a small place where you don't have to lug your belongings down long corridors or park in large dark lots. This is it! Nice people too.

We were given a lovely room (number 26) with plenty of space and a view over very pleasant park. I was pleasantly surprised by how everything worked so well; everything was clean, neat, tidy, quiet. Thank you Nicholas! Nicholas' lady asked ahead of time for a view if possible... and they got the last room available over the park (not many there).
