This was our 3rd stay at what has become my favorite place. Not only is the house beautiful, but Donna & Alain make you feel like you are totally at home. From the delicious breakfasts to the recommendations of places to visit and sites to see, you are in good hands. Spending time with Donna is like chatting with a... More

My mother has come up and stayed here for the past two years, and everything has been perfect. Donna is warm and hospitable, and I hear rave reviews about the breakfasts. If I could give six stars as a rating I would do so!

I was just a bit anxious because I booked this stay for us and three other couples from reviews without doing a personal inspection. But the whole exhperience surpassed our expectations. Donna is a warm and gracious hostess. All meals were eaten at restaurants that she recommended and they were all excellent with high quality and many local foods. Even... More

Stayed three nights in September with three other couples for our annual get-together which we have been doing for many years. This B&B was one of the best we have stayed at in many years. Our hostess, Donna, has been running this B&B with her husband for the last 14 years and it shows. Her husband has done an outstanding... More

We were in Greenfield, MA for a bike event. I contacted HOH and Donna was so warm and engaging, we had to stay there. We requested and stayed in the gorgeous library room on the main floor. When we arrived a bit early, we were offered chilled water and relaxation on the roomy wrap around porch while last minutes touches... More

We are travelling for nearly 9 weeks, so when I saw the picture of the House on the Hill on the internet, I just knew we had to stay there. We were not disappointed, as the previous reviews are all totally spot on. Donna is very warm and welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are extremely comfortable,... More

Several years ago (about 2010?) I stayed at HOTH B&B while attending a conference. I still think of it as I enjoyed my stay so much and look forward to staying again. After a full day of conference and your head is swimming, this is a haven. Having breakfast ready before leaving - like Mom. Eating supper on the porch... More

HOH was an incredible experience. Not only did it feel comfortable and homey because of Donna and Alaine's generous hospitality, it was also extremely clean and professional. The breakfast was home-cooked and delicious, not to mention - on the house! It was an incredible deal and a wonderful experience. I'd love to go to Western MA again just to stay... More

The House on the Hill is such an excellent place! Its my favorite B and B in the world. The beds are super comfortable, the town is so charming, the grounds are so bucolic and lovely. There are views of horses grazing in the background, lush soft super green grass, a huge back gorgeous field where people get married (you... More

“All three rooms are classically furnished - this is not a "modern / metal / glass" sort of stay, but I wouldn't expect that in a B&B! All rooms are very nice - just a question of whether you want a queen, king or doubles.”
