This is a pleasant inn and the location is very convenient. THe inn keeper is friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was small. You have a choice of having a bathroom in the room or in the hall. Breakfast was adequate.

We stayed up at the Colonial Inn for an annual girl's weekend away. Tom was indeed, as mentioned in other reviews, very friendly and accommodating. We had room 6, which was a great size with 2 queen sized beds in it and a private bathroom across the hall (which wasn't an issue at all). We didn't have a view to...

Visited at the end of August 2016. Tom our host was very sociable, shared great stories and recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Enjoyed taking our croissants, yogurt and fresh fruit, sitting on the porch for breakfast and enjoying the harbor view. The sunsets in the evening were spectacular.

Tom, the Innkeeper, is warm, friendly, funny, informative, and delightful to be around. A nice Continental Breakfast offers you the opportunity to sit and relax on the beautiful porch with a great view. The Inn is located within easy walking distance of the historic Rocky Neck Art Colony; 1.8 mile walk will take you to Lighthouse and the beautiful scenery...

What a find! Comfy, away from the main drag, quiet, peaceful. Very charming rooms, and scrupulously clean. Just a lovely place to chill. Tom the innkeeper is very helpful and gives great advice about local stuff. Nice view of the ocean from the porch, with big chairs to rest in. Would stay here again.

The Colonial Inn is a serviceable B&B that is located a bit outside of the town and, therefore, is a nice sedate alternative for folks looking for a bit of quiet. The Inn is a pleasant 5 minute walk from the artist colony on Rocky Neck and there is a small public beach across the road. We were in Room...

My wife and I just came across this place, drove in, saw a room and felt the price was good for the offering. The room was spacious, clean and well kept, as was the outdoor area. It's a continental breakfast, fruit, yogurt, bagels and such. Worth saying that it was a good cup of coffee with a nice open porch...

After having booked at a different hotel and they cancelled my rsvp, I was on the hunt for a new place to stay just one week away from our trip to Boston. I knew I would have a harder time looking for a hotel being a graduation weekend during our stay, being in our budget. Someone recommended I look into...

We visited the Colonial Inn in May and it was a fantastic time. The room was not overwhelming and was very clean. There was a continental breakfast served daily on the second floor which we appreciated as it was right outside of our door.Tom, the owner, was a great host and tour guide as he was able to tell us...
