Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We wanted to do some clothes shopping in the area so we decided to stay here for a Friday night in February to shake off the winter doldrums. For several reasons, the Renaissance is a very convenient place. First, you can park 20 to 30 feet from the front door. Check-in at the front desk was a breeze. The hotel is just a few steps away from shopping at Patriot Place and is a 2-minute ride to the Bass River outlet. We were surprised at how many people, including young families, were strolling around Patriot Place on a Friday evening in February. The hotel is certainly upscale. We had a king-size bed and it was very comfortable. The bathroom was big and had a nice walk-in shower. Plenty of closet space in the room with a chair and desk. Housekeeping was spot on. Breakfast the next day (Saturday) was a buffet filled with a variety of tasty hot and cold dishes. If you want to splurge and stay over after a night of dining and shopping, the Renaissance is a great option. P.S. If you are looking for a delicious and comfortable place to dine, try the Italian restaurant, Tavolino's, a 2-minute walk from the hotel.

Hosted a party at the Renaissance Patriot Place for 120 guests and it was fantastic! The event venue was excellent, the food was outstanding and the service was perfect. The hotel rooms were updated and very clean and comfortable. I would recommend if you are looking to host a party that they run a first-class operation!

I have been coming to the Renaissance at Boston Patriot Place continuously since they opened 15 years ago- I stay 4 weekends (2 nights each weekend- at around $2000 a weekend during games- do the math $8000 a season- plus Playoffs do most averaged $10,000 a year). It was great - got less and less services over the years - but now disgusting- the new inexperience manager Shawn is awful! I booked this season same as usual - he tried to screw me points vs payment on each trip- despite being a platinum member ( which gives you early check in) he made sure I could not get a room until 4pm- he has continuously screwed me. Do not go to the now unprofessional hotel - they rip you off and then treat you awful/ this little boy can not run a hotel! Disgusting - that is why y’all the original clients are gone - we had great managers with Amy, Amanda and Scott until this unprofessional person is trying to learn how to be a manager - stay away- save your money

First off, nothing wrong with the room. Poor experience is directly attributed to the staff and management. I'll start with the booking. Made on 6/21/23 and a confirmation email received with a rate of $289 for the night plus taxes and parking Upon arrival and check-in on 9/9, there was no notification that the rate would increase. On the morning of 9/10 while checking out, the folio was printed with the room rate at nearly $500. When we inquired with the front desk, they informed us that the Patriots were playing so they decided to increase the rate. Speaking with the manager, we were informed that they would not honor the rate we checked in with... They state that the bride/groom for the wedding we were there with were informed, but no one else in the family or wedding party had been until check out. Next failure was the food/beverage service, or lack thereof. On a Saturday, the restaurant was only open from 5p-10p. Given many of us had travelled in for a wedding, we were just looking for an appetizer and beverage while getting ready to no avail. Lastly, when we returned as we were post 10pm we could not purchase a beverage. The larger wedding party and family broke out some beverages to sit around and talk about the day where we were then thrown out of the open area as we were not allowed to drink anything that wasn't purchased there, which as noted, wasn't available. Won't return, and Marriott won't be getting anymore of my business. Ill let my gold status lapse as this was by far the worst Ive ever been treated by a national hotel chain

Very disappointed… booked this hotel so that my little one could go swimming and the pool advertised as heated was very cold and not heated. No one answered the front desk phone when we got back to our room and had to reach out through the main hotel number via cell phone. Was told they’d reach out to the engineer and get back to me, but no one reached out. Additionally, there was something purple and slimy on the shower tile and shampoo pump, along with someone else’s hair. Upon checkout when I mentioned the pool issue was told it was a known problem and that we “could have” used Hilton’s pool (which isn’t a great solution, but also no one gave us the option). Won’t be back to this Marriott location.

I started planning my Family Reunion in June of 2022. The reunion took place July 28-July 30, 2023. From the moment that I met Tricia Cummings and Jasmine Hines, I knew that I was in competent hands. They guided me through every step of the way. Even when I was completely stressed out, they stayed calm and professional and accommodated my every request. The food choices that the Chef provided were both delicious and plentiful. During the reunion, they hosted two dinners and a breakfast and all the food was fresh and presented well. My family had a wonderful time and could not say enough wonderful things about the entire experience. The wait staff was so friendly and efficient. We would definitely consider having another reunion there. If you are looking to be help through your event planning, please make sure to contact Tricia and Jasmine. They are the best!

Right next to stadium. Good breakfast, nice staff. Beds very soft....and towels like old rags. Alot of food places in area next to hotel and stadium. No food or bar on Sunday nights at hotel..which is weird. Very nice public areas. Fitness room average.

Four star hotel. Clean and appointed nicely. Staff quite friendly and would return. Food in lobby shop priced reasonably and near the stadium and many shops. Parking tough to access around game time. They should have second “hotel only” entrance. Rooms nice. Towels could be much better and mattresses need to be replaced. But overall nice.

FRAGRANT!! we stayed one night after a company function nearby. We were overwhelmed when you walk in with a perfume scent. At first, thought maybe someone with a lot of perfume on had just walked through, but all common areas of the hotel have the same smell and it doesn't go away. Anyone with ALLERGIES BEWARE. We checked the other hotel next door, and the hotel was neutral. We would have eaten at the Twenty 8 but it shares common area with the check in and lobby, so the smell was too strong to stay. The website for the hotel says they have a clean air system, not sure what they are piping thru. The hotel is clean and modern the only complaint is the saturated scent .

547staceyn, Thank you for taking the time to share your positive feedback on the cleanliness and decor of the hotel. We are very sorry that the scent in out lobby created an uncomfortable feeling. The "Shiso Tea Leaf" scent in our lobby offers a subtle sensory experience to our guests. We will evaluate the setting of this scent to ensure it is appropriate. We value your patronage and hope you will choose us again in the future. Sincerely,

After a really long day of travel I got to the hotel and was greeted by Breanna at the front desk. She gave me what I can call the initial hotel greeting, asking about day, flight and the rest. She was very polite and courteous and had a smile the whole time. I go to my room and kinda settle in then decide to grab some food nearby. When I came back a couple hours later, Breanna saw me and was all smiles and very welcoming even remembering my name. Probably the best greeting I have had in a long time. Hotel is beautiful and comfortable. Will be using it again when I am in town. Thank you
