Very nice, peaceful and clean Inn. Stated here for our two days of adventure at Zore. Arrived to a very friendly staff at check in, showed us to our room. The occomodations we great, filling all our needs. Dinner at the restaurant was very delicious and breakfast was above and beyond what we expected for free with our room stay

How lovely that you stayed with us while having a great whitewater trip! The weather has been just perfect for messing about on the river. Thank you for being our guests, and thank you for being so kind as to post about your stay. We are loving all your adjectives! Kind regards

The owner is pleasant and extremely helpful. The food was fabulous and the local beer tasty. The history, well it's overwhelming. The local dog is old but enjoyable to hug. The only problem for us was the ride was too long since it took us seven hours of travel, but relaxing once we arrived. A suggestion if I might, a...

Thank you for posting, and I must first apologize about the luggage cart. We have one of those right in the coat room in the entrance lobby, and we are always glad to help carry as well. I am so sorry this courtesy fell through the cracks. But glad you liked eating in Champney's and seeing old Jack snoozing on...

Have stayed at Deerfield Inn several times over three decades and have had a great experience each time. The building retains its character as a 19th century inn, although most of the rooms are In the former stable building in the back. Staff are thoughtful and friendly, especially at front desk. We enjoyed afternoon tea in the small but peaceful...

All the staff here are very friendly and ready to help in any way. We arrived quite early for check-in so we didn't expect our room to be ready yet and it wasn't. We were pleasantly surprised when we were given an upgraded room so we could check right in. All in all, we loved our stay here and would...

A bit like staying in a museum which was quaint. A beautiful town and lovely to walk around and visit the houses. A lot of time and effort has been put into the decor and comfort of the Deerfield Inn and it is a delight to stay in.

We appreciate very much that you took the time to post a review. Thank you for your comment about decor and comfort. That is very heart-warming! And the slightly sloping floors and wobbly glass in the windows is all part of the quaintness! All good wishes

Treated like royalty. Highly recommend! The staff, the food, the drinks and the room were all 5+ stars. We rented bikes and the ride was beautiful in historic Deerfield. Our greeting upon arrival was like we just came home from a trip, we were walked to our room and shown the amenities. It just was all so perfect. Definitely will...

Thank you for posting this lovely review and making us all feel so happy that you were happy here! We love to read that you will be back, and the joy of Deerfield is that it is an all-season village and beautiful and interesting at any time of year. The inn is a beautiful venue for a small wedding. My daughter's wedding was held outside and the reception was in the downstairs dining room, which opens unto a covered patio in case of rain and for dancing. The rooms are clean and beautiful. On Saturday evening, the front desk clerk wasn't the most gracious and seemed preoccupied with other...

Thank you for the five bubbles for overall happiness, although I am saddened to see some of your remarks as any lapse in grace will not work for me. I am dismayed as well as I feel so strongly the goodness and caring in the hearts of the folk who work here with me. I suppose we can all feel...

We really enjoyed Deerfield in general, and this B&B was a big part of it. Great location, historical building, friendly staff and an excellent breakfast. After our activities for the day, we had a few great cocktails and appetizers in the bar. The mixologist was fun and creative and made it a nice evening for us.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us. The beauty of this village and its museum houses continue to charm me after all these years! Glad to know you enjoyed your evening in Champney's at the end of your day. One of our bartenders has a cool party trick which is to make a cocktail that tastes just like your...

We are so happy you enjoyed your stay with us. Well done covering so much ground in two days, Energizer bunnies! Jack got a package in the post the other day with a squeaky skunk in it. I wonder if that was you?! Thanks so much if it was, and kind regards anyway if not!

We were lucky to get a room here while in the area for our daughter's sporting event. We didn't get to stay as long as we would have liked due to an early departure and they thoughtfully prepared breakfast earlier than usual as 1 example of their stellar service. We look forward to another escape this way.

How kind of you to post this about us! We hope the sporting event went well and that the early breakfast gave her an edge over the other team! We look forward to welcoming you back for longer next time, and in the meantime send our kind regards.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Deerfield Inn first opened in July 1884 while both a drought and grasshoppers were plaguing the village. The disasters went, but the guests stayed for "the atmosphere and charm of early days, with modern comfort and convenience" with breakfast starting at 30¢ and a room with running water from $1.50. Today we have 24 comfortable and pleasing guestrooms and farm-to-fork Champney's Restaurant & Tavern. We source locally, make our own infusions, support area microbrewers, and in our 131st year we remain the centerpiece of Old Deerfield, a National Historic Landmark, and a Select Registry Property. ... more   less
