My boyfriend and I went to a wedding at the Red Lion on Saturday, April 2nd. It was spectacular. Before going, I was a bit concerned because of some bad reviews I had seen, but it was all good! The wedding was held in what they call "Lion's Hall", which is a big wide open rustic barn-like venue - very... More

We were here for Saturday evening dinner. We chose the pub because we were looking for a simple meal. It was such a cozy setting for a cold winter evening. We had hamburgers and they were prepared to perfection. I opted for the sweet potato fries which were excellent. We were very surprised that it was not crowded on a... More

The Red Lion is an excellent hotel for a wedding with the upper hall a perfect place for a small to medium wedding. Inquire about the music - the sax player was tremendous and added so much to the event. The rooms are like a quaint Vermont B & B, but better. A truly enjoyable experience - can't say enough.

This could and probably should be a very nice place - old building, quite cosy a bit like an English pub. However the service and management lets it down. The night we were there, the chef was constantly in the bar in all his chef whites, laughing and joking with clients, and had he been in the kitchen my steak... More

Attended my daughter's wedding reception here in september. Being my first visit to this particular section of the south shore, I found the area to be pleasant with many old homes and restaurants and located within walking distance to the ocean. The Inn itself is a step back in time with gracious accommodations and spectacular food. If you like old... More

As a bit of a history buff, I was really looking forward to my stay at The Red Lion Inn. The lobby's dark wood features and slightly creaky floorboards really brought the Inn's 300 year history to life. The rooms were spacious and each included different variations of colonial appointments -- some had original brick fireplaces (not permitted to use),... More

I had the pleasure of attending a Friday evening wedding ceremony and reception at the Red Lion Inn. The setting was beautiful and romantic with the chandelier and candles. The cocktails were plentiful and the food delicious (my boyfriend had the filet mignon and I had the haddock).

BIll Ike did a fabulous job preparing for our rehearsal dinner for our son and his new wife. Bill literally did everything for us and we just had to show up. He actually provided us with a projector and speakers for a video we wanted to show. The venue was warm and inviting and the food was superb! Bill was... More

I had the pleasure of attending an evening wedding ceremony & wedding reception at the Inn. As one first sets eyes on the Red Lion Inn barn, it is quite different than one's preconceived idea of a barn. The beautiful chandelier against the lovely honed wood and high ceilings makes for an impressive room. Plus the ample seating area for... More
