This place was pleasant to deal with since we booked our reservation over the phone with Janet. When we got here, we checked in with Janet and she was just as enjoyable in person. She led us to our room. We stayed in the cabin Bottle 1 which was very spacious and clean. The afternoon tea was just adorable and...

So many good things to say. Let's start with the reservation. Janet took my reservation. She was very thorough and explained about the accommodation, no TV's in the room. There are TV's,in the sitting room at the front of the Inn and in the Tavern. Not a problem for me, I was looking forward to unplugging. We were also looking...

Thank you for choosing to stay at our vintage Inn and once our customers get over there being no televisions in the rooms, they like you, tend to unwind and relax very quickly. The main reason for this is that our bedrooms are in two wings, one built in 1700 and the other in 1800 and as a consequence their...

We stayed in Bottle Cottage 2 and very much enjoyed our one night stay at RMI. Beautiful view out the large bay window of the Tred Avon River and the Oxford/Bellview ferry. A TV and single cup Keurig brewer were welcome amenities. An $18 per person breakfast allowance was also a very nice touch. The eggs Benedict with crab meat...

A weekend in Oxford, MD is a great, relaxing get-away. We would definitely recommend the Robert Morris Inn to friends and we would definitely stay there again. We were there 2 nights - Friday through Sunday. Our room was one of the 'Captain' rooms, with a sitting room, bedroom, closet area, and a large 2 room bath with a claw...

The location is perfect for people trying to escape city life. Oxford is a quiet, picturesque, and charming town, and the Robert Morris Inn fits perfectly into it. The place seems stuck in another time, which isn't a bad thing - I quite enjoy feeling like I've been transported to another era. If you enjoy hotels with rich histories and...

My husband and I spent three nights at the Robert Morris Inn in early September. We were beyond happy with the location, the service, and the restaurant. There is so much to do in the area, and we barely scratched the surface in our short visit. We stayed in Bottle Cottage 1, which is one half of a small duplex...

We spent last weekend at the Robert Morris Inn. After spending some time in St. Michael's to visit the outstanding maritime museum, we took the Oxford-Bellevue Ferry (runs every 20 minutes) which docks right next to the inn. Our room was one of the more inexpensive ones- full of charm and comprised of a sitting room, bedroom, closet, and two...

We had a delightful 2 days at the Robert Morris Inn with a great view from the Bottle Cottage 2. I really enjoyed this small hotel or largish inn. The rooms were super clean and the staff was very accommodating. Stayed last week with my wife for two nights using a Living Social deal. The building is historic dating from the 1700's, but well kept for a structure of that vintage. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Once the home of Robert Morris who gained fame as "Financier of the Revolution". General and later President George Washington was a close friend and visited Robert Morris often. In more recent times author James Michener outlined his famous novel, Chesapeake here and fell in love with our renowned crab cakes. More history is located here. Now the Eastern Shore's most unique historic restaurant with rooms under celebrity Chef Proprietor, Mark Salter and Ian Fleming. Enter the Inn and step back 300 years: a pristine yet historic interior welcomes with timber beams, panelled walls and open fires in the cooler months. Through to Salter's Tavern featuring historic red brick walls and old slate floors, with magnificent fires in the cooler months and offering casual outside dining on our Terraces and Veranda during balmy warm summers. This is a truly historic Inn, cosy with a natural patina running through. Friendly, great cuisine and understated professional service. ... more   less
