The Service at the Inn was impeccable. They've thought of everything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible, down to the littlest of details. The Rooms are cozy. The home made breakfast are out of the world. It's nestled in a little development and from the street it doesn't look like much. But the trees make you feel isolated...

We came here to celebrate our 10th anniversary and it was well worth it! The staff was friendly, breakfast was amazing, the views of the lake were beautiful. We loved the nightly boat ride and the smores by the firepit were delicious. Many special touches throughout to make guests feel appreciated. We may make this an annual tradition!

We found this gem about 4 years ago and it is one of our favorite places to go when the need to "get-away." We love the staff (Ed, Tom, Kris, Marilyn) and the breakfast's are a great way to start the day. We love sitting by the fire place and drinking wine. It is so relaxing and the peaceful location...

This inn is warm and inviting. It seems that all possible guest needs have been anticipated in advance. Ed, the innkeeper, was exceptionally helpful and accommodating as well as the rest of the staff. We will be back!

My husband and I came to Lake Pointe Inn for a "mini-moon" after our wedding. We were greeted by a bottle of champagne and an adorable set of bride/groom rubber ducks. The food each morning was fantastic--lemon poppy seed waffles, bacon, omlettes...We stayed in the Sang Run Room which was perfect. We loved the steam shower and huge spa bathtub....

We have been to many B&B's and this is one of the best. From the great lakeside location, nice rooms, fresh baked cookies, stocked refrigerators, nightly boat rides, fire pit, croquet lawn and canoes they really have thought of it all. My only complaint is like many B&B's they stick with the high carb options for breakfast. I much prefer...

We just returned from our second visit to the Lake Pointe Inn and cannot imagine that we will not return for our anniversary again next year. The accommodations are outstanding, this year we were in the McCann Suite which featured a king bed, fireplace (not needed in August), Living area, and very private balcony with a lake view. The service...

We loved everything about this Inn. We stayed in the Buffalo Marsh Suite which had a soaking tub, fireplace, steam shower a very comfortable bed and all kinds of goodies/drinks in the common fridge/snack area which was really a nice treat (as well as the fresh baked AWESOME chocolate chip cookies in the afternoon). There was nothing overlooked in this...

This was our 3rd stay at this wonderful inn. We enjoy the many extras that the inn offers guests such as the evening boat ride, late afternoon hot appetizers, film library, hot and cold drinks, and snacks. The breakfasts are creative and very good. If guests prefer something other than the hot entree offered each morning, cereal, granola, bread, bagels...

A wonderful two night stay in late July was a great introduction to this 10-room B&B located at Deep Creek, MD. Positioned in a prime spot on the lake directly facing the trails of the Wisp Ski Resort, it is in it's own world once we drives into the driveway and parks in a reserved spot. The grounds are immaculate...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Lake Pointe Inn (catering to adults-children must be 16 or older), in the Lake Pointe community at McHenry, Maryland, is perched at water's edge on Deep Creek Lake, and offers all the comforts and amenities of a fine bed and breakfast. The two-course breakfast includes a hot entree from one of the inn's unique recipes. Also available are cold cereals, homemade granola, muffins, yogurt, fresh fruit, teas, coffees, cocoas and a selection of five juices, including orange juice squeezed from oranges at the inn. Explore the lake's 65-mile shoreline, or hike in the several state parks. Relax with home-made marshmallows at the outdoor fire pit or sit in a rocker on the wrap-around porch, and you enjoy the expansive view. Swim and lounge at the inn dock in summer. Ski, tub and ice skate at Wisp (just across the road) in winter, or put on the inn's snowshoes and make tracks on the frozen lake. Warm up in the sauna, the steam shower or in front of the big stone fireplace in our native chestnut paneled great room. Check out inn bikes to tour the area, or take a canoe/kayak out on the water. Enjoy an evening lake tour on our pontoon boat (mid-May to mid-October, conditions permitting). Visit Frank Lloyd Wright's famous houses, Falling Water and Kentuck Knob, both less that an hour away. The inn offers complimentary hors d'oeuvres and wine each evening. A wide selection of complimentary beverages, fruit, snacks and homemade chocolate chip cookies are available 24/7. ... more   less
