We visit St Michaels every year during the crab season and this time decided to make it an overnight instead of a day trip. Looked for a secluded place to stay that has balconies with water views, and chose Wades Point Inn based on the photos of the property and room descriptions (strictly speaking it's located in McDaniel - 4...

Nicely appointed, clean and cosy rooms. A swallow nesting on the light fixture above our door. STUNNING VIEWS from our window, back porch or very widely spaced lawn chairs on the grounds directly on the bay. This is a farm with chickens, sheep and the occasional turtle. About five miles from downtown St. Michaels, which has several first class restaurants....

There are two categories of rooms - rustic (but charming) in the main old house, and modern hotel rooms in a new building close by. The rustic rooms are just that - most but not all have private bath. The website is clear about that. We stayed in the rustic Brick Room, which has a large window in the bathroom...

Our kids got us a gift certificate for Wades Point and we managed to time our trip with the St. Michaels wine festival (very fun!). We're usually downtown-type people; Wades Point is the opposite - secluded and restful, a change of pace for us. Many rooms have balconies and wonderful views of the Bay. Swings, hammocks, a pleasant walking trail,...

We came for a long weekend and this place did not disappoint! Stunning views from almost every room! We stayed in the newer building but breakfast is served in the historic section. Breakfast was delicious and being able to eat it in the sunroom with beautiful views made it even better. There are chairs, hammocks, swings, benches all over the...

Wades Point is relaxation at it’s finest! First off, I would go back just for the complimentary breakfasts that were served each morning. They changed it up every day with several local options, including but not limited to waffles, fresh fruit, bacon, scrapple, eggs prepared with crab or salmon. Every morning I was excited to see what they’d put out...

Dear YoMike thank you for the awesome review! If you want to try a more spacious room check out the rooms in the newer Kemp Guesthouse. Hope to see you again this year and we'll try to surprise you with a yummy new dish.

Awesome food, very friendly staff, so peaceful, beautiful views, saw bald eagles on property everyday as we walked, right on the water! Can't wait to go back!! Great shopping and great restaurants in town only few miles away in St. Michaels.

The key to success for this place is simple: beautiful views; solitude; and a well appointed room. There are no frills -- no TV, no bottled water, and no chocolates on the pillow. What they do have is a welcoming staff and a beautiful, historic Inn. It is a B&B so a breakfast buffet is included. Again, not elaborate but...

Thank you for taking the time to post such a complimentary review. We always thought the key to our success was Lucy the beagle but you hit on some really good points! Hope to see you back this year. Best to you.

The Wades Point Inn on the Bay is the most pleasant of the historic old waterfront overnight destinations my wife and I have found to-date in several years of visiting such inns and B&Bs on the Maryland Eastern Shore around St. Michaels and Oxford. Located some 4 miles toward Tilghman Island outside bustling St. Michaels, the gorgeous inn is actually...

Wow you covered us beautifully thank you!! The only thing i'd like to add for someone learning about the property is the only room without a direct water view is the Peach room however it does have a great view of the water from its porch. We look forward to seeing you again this year!

If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the daily rat race and enjoy good old peace and quiet, this is the piece of heaven on earth you are seeking.
