It's a Marriott property, so the bed was comfortable although not nearly as nice as Westin's "Heavenly Bed", but not bad for the price. It was quiet but that was because I was on the front side. The back side faces an 8 lane expressway about 50 feet away so it might be noisier. The room was well designed. The bedroom had a rack for clothes not a closet. There was a luggage rack and an ironing board. The other room had a small sofa and table, a desk and chair, and a kitchenette with a mini-fridge and a microwave. The TV could be swiveled so you could see it from the bed or the sofa. The HVAC was quiet and worked well. The shower had plenty of hot water and good pressure. The free continental breakfast is very minimal: scrambled eggs (overcooked and lukewarm), bacon (not crisp at all and very greasy), oatmeal, fruit, bagels, muffins and cereal. There was a juice dispenser with apple and orange juice. Better than nothing but that's about it. Staff were polite and some were friendly. Since I care mainly about sleep when choosing a hotel, it was good for that. It is convenient located, near Rio and I-270. Plenty of parking.

Pet Friendly is a plus unless the Dog is in the room next to you. Spent the night at the older but clean Hotel. Everything was going well for a good stay until 330am when the dog next door started to cry for 30 minutes. Called the front desk they said they would take care of it. The dog did not settle back down until almost 5 am. Overall the location is good but the Courtyard has less road noise about .2 miles away. The rooms are a little worn but the hotel is clean and the staff is nice. I think I would use the Courtyard down the street if in the area again

This is our go to hotel in the Gaithersburg area for many years. Made our reservation a month ahead of our dates at the Marriott web site which we usually find the best rates. A week ahead of time I checked again and noted the rates dropped so I canceled the first reservation and made another - saving $100. Check in was by Chantel. She was very friendly and hospitable at the check in. She used my name and recognized our Titanium status on Marriott Bonvoy. She asked for ID and a credit card and then explained we could have an item from the sundry area. She did well to explain housekeeping and the hours of breakfast and that coffee was available in the lobby until 7 pm daily. Our room 432 was nicely clean. No issues noted from a cleanliness perspective. The negative of the room is the old tub shower which was slippery; it is very difficult to read the bulk amenity containers; and the bed was not comfortable. I think the bed is in need of replacement. It was nice to have a mini fridge although one of my soda's froze up. Be sure to ask for a room that is not on the I270 side for quieter stay. Wifi worked great no issues although it did make me resign in a couple of days of our 5 night stay. We had housekeeping every day do a room refresh and it was done as requested with making the bed and new towels. Breakfast was fine but a bit boring. I was disappointed that this is one of few hotels that doesn't do waffles at breakfast. Scrambled eggs and sausage every day of our 5 night stay. They do offer bagels and English muffins but no toasting bread. Hot and cold cereal was offered, along with yogurts, hard cooked eggs, lots of toppings for cereals and a juice machine. The attendants at breakfast were all very hard working keeping the buffet stocked and tables cleared. It was very busy with tour buses and teams every morning. They should be commended for their hard work. We met a wonderful and hospitable person on the night shift, her name is Allison and she should be commended by management for her smile, and friendly way about her.

This was one of the friendliest staff I have ever met at a hotel chain. They were accommodating and attentive. We were there for a memorial service and everyone offered their condolences and the staff even sent a sympathy card. The rooms were clean, beds were so comfortable and the coffee was good! It was such a pleasant stay for a sad reason and we couldn’t be more thankful. In this post Covid world this is hard to find. Way to go Springhill Suites!

Nice weekend stay. Hotel was in a good location. Walkable distance to RIO which was our main reason for staying. Rooms were a good size. Breakfast was well stocked even though the hotel was very busy. Plenty of parking. Would stay here again.

We sold our house in Bethesda and had to wait 60 days to get into our new house. Our hotel choices were limited because we have two large dogs. We rented two adjoining suites for 60 nights and it was an interesting experience. The hotel staff is very nice. Our biggest complaint was overnight guests leaving their dogs unattended in their room. This is not allowed and creates a barking frenzy. It would have been nice if they tried to separate the extended stay occupants away from the overnight occupants. Overall, the hotel is nice and they do a good job keeping it clean. The breakfast menus seemed to rotate monthly. The breakfast choices were decent and free (added bonus). The laundry ($4.00 per load) and exercise rooms were always clean. Free parking, but there were some sketchy characters at times in the parking lot at night. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance and a few of them allow you to sit with your dogs in their patio section. Last but not least and certainly my dog's favorite pastime was trying to catch the rabbits that would hang out at night in the field next to the hotel. It was a little crazy (spooky) to walk out and see a bunch of rabbits just sitting in various places on the grass.

The hotel is dated . It is a pet friendly hotel and unfortunately you can tell that by the smell as soon as you walk in. You would think that they clean carpets , but they don't . Hotel was full of kids for soccer tournament and only one elevator was working . Beds are full size and very small and uncomfortable . When asked for extra sheets for sofa bed they didn't have any . Lady from the front desk turn off the TV in the lobby at 10:00 pm claiming that there is quit time . ( That didn't not happen the night before ) . In the mean time there was party happening on every floor . Also Do not let the pictures confuse you - there is no pool in this facility . Location is good but that's about it . Never again.

We have stayed at this hotel many times over the past years. We love the location of the hotel and the close proximity to the shops and restaurants at Rio and Crown. Check in was done by a friendly agent at the Desk with a name tag that indicated his name was Juan. Juan was very warm and friendly welcoming us to the hotel. Although he didn’t recognize my status on Marriott Bonvoy (Titanium) he did ask if we wanted points or a food item from the sundry shop as our Bonvoy welcome gift. He could have enhanced the check in experience by utilizing our name and explaining the breakfast times. Signs were posted in the elevator and at the desk that listed the breakfast times and housekeeping procedures. Stay over housekeeping is on request and is a room tidy, make the bed, new towels, trash removal and amenity refill. Breakfast: I am not fond of the new breakfast offerings. Pre packaged waffles and sausage biscuits. I am on a keto diet and there are just two many carbs on this breakfast to start the day. Packaged cereal, instant oatmeal that you add hot water, cold cheddar biscuits. Yogurt was available in the refrigerator. Everything was high in carbs. Neither scrambled or hard cooked eggs were available. I missed them. I noted many other guests inquiring about where were the eggs. All of the attendants on the buffet were both friendly and hard working and kept the buffet stocked and the tables cleaned. Special kudos to Dolores who was very hospitable on Monday morning, management should commend her for her hard work and big smiles. Well, to my surprise on Monday and Tuesday they had the hard cooked eggs available and instead of the waffles and they offered egg white frittatas. I heard many negative comments on the breakfast with guests looking for English muffins, toast or bagels. Housekeeping: Our room was spotless clean and I noted that pads and pens have been added to the guest room. The bath amenity was the bulk dispensers on the wall and one small bar of soap at the sink. Shower was a tub shower and the water pressure and temperature perfect however the sink faucet had a very low water pressure and the stopper did not hold water for the morning shave. I appreciate that they are doing room tidy although on the second day the room attendant forgot to refill the coffee supplies. The Front Desk attendant at night Alison was very friendly and hospitable. She engaged everyone as they came in from the entrance warm smile. She did well to find a commonality to build a rapport for conversation. She is a natural with hospitality and should be commended for her excellent service. Another nice stay and we look forward to returning to this hotel on our next visit to Gaithersburg.

I experts at least some hotel service such as removing towels and trash. And I understand breakfasts are packages because of covid, but this was very limited and items were gone when we arrives. While there is a microwave, and small kitchen sink, there were no utensils or even paper plates. I don't thinknthis hotel for guests.

A good hotel with a small kitchen area and sofa and a little extra room. Free Breakfast, friendly staff, lots of parking, well located right next to many restaurants and shops and Target at RIO and Crown across the street. So many restaurants in the immediate area.
