My wife and I were doing a couple of stretches on the GAP and the C&O around the Cumberland area. Gail had connections to a shuttle service that work just fine. The rooms were comfortable, quiet and the shower was a torrent with lots of hot water. Breakfast was just wonderful. Peach compote that had to be shipped in from... More

Gail does a great job being unobtrusively hospitable. I've stayed in "George's Room" twice since January visiting family in the area. She has made the process very easy for me to book a room by phone or text, no fuss. The kitchenette is charming, and the house is a short walk or ride to downtown businesses. No TV, which is... A group of us have ridden the GAP trail 3 times from Pittsburg to the C&O and then on to DC, and ridden just the C&O approximately 10 times. At least the last 6 times we have stayed with Gail, most recently this August in her newly opened Inn across the street. Gail is the consummate host; her Inn is... More

After a 60 mile stretch on the C&O, from Hancock, we appreciated Gail's kind hospitality and lovely home/B&B. The family lives on the bottom floor, and is well separated for their privacy and ours. There are two large bedrooms with bathrooms and a kitchen upstairs. Our room (George's) had a queen & a twin bed. It's en-suite bathroom had big... More

We just completed the GAP trail for the second time the other day. We stayed for our 2nd time at the Inn on Decatur. Gail is the best hostess! We've stayed in George's room both times. It's so comfortable and it's exactly what we needed after several long, hard days on the trail. Gail cooks the most amazing breakfasts! On... More

Because of some confusion in the reservation, we were not able to stay in the Inn during our time in Cumberland, but Gail has another property down the street and she invited us to stay the night there at NO CHARGE. It was perfect. We even had use of the land dry facility. Such generosity -- thank you, Gail.

With the help of our fabulous host Gail, we did a portion of the C&O and GAP trails. She planned everything for our two day bike trip and we had a perfect 3 night stay in a beautiful home with every comfort we could think of. Breakfast was bountiful and delicious. The B&B location is convenient to the trail. We'll... More

This was our 2nd stay with Gail. Her Inn and breakfasts are more than worth the return trip. George's room was spacious and comfortable with a full size bathroom, magazines, books and games. Breakfast in the upstairs kitchen nook off the guest deck had so many wonderfull choices, raisin toast french bread (with 5+ different kinds of syrup), eggs, bacon,... More

Our favorite place on our DC to Pittsburgh trip. You have the second floor mostly to yourself. Laundry on site was key too. Great place. Gail, the host, was wonderful too. Good food, lots of snacks. Bike was, storage and pump. Loved George's room! Actually met George too. Cumberland is at a bit of a crossroads with some new development... More
