Spent two nights here on business travel, Not an easy place to get to driving, the road in is a bit rough. Maybe a more pleasant ride by boat. But if you want to escape from the world this is the place to do it. You can drop off the grid totally or still keep in contact if you have...

We had 2 nights here in September. Very nice villas and fantastic location. Great place for children and swing on the beach was a hit. Great swimming and snorkelling. Restaurant meals were very nice but maybe overpriced. We were there midweek and the prices were much better than weekends.

We visited for lunch while on a 4x4 tour of the Southern Province. The location is amazing - right on the beach. It is very remote, and feels like paradise. However, the food was very average, with overcooked tuna and pieces of shell in the lobster salad. There are quite a few semi-feral cats here too which would put some...

Went there for lunch. Pre-booked and tried to order a seafood plater but they are not doing them anymore. They offer a plate of the sea instead. Ordered 3x for the sunday lunch. Unfortunately dogs even small ones are not allowed which is a shame as it can be part of a great family outing. The drive to the ecolodge...

We enjoyed our 2 nights stay. The beach front bungalows could not be better situated but they are a bit rustic, to be polite. The two downsides are the high prices eg usd 5 for a litre bottle of water to take out. The place is miles from anywhere and this is part of its charm but milking a captive...

This is a difficult review to write as we stayed here at the time of a cyclone at the north of the island and thus didn't see it at its best. We arrived just after New Years from the sister hotel on iles de pines which was great and expected similar. However we were the only guests and the place...

The resort is very nice, beautiful location on the lagoon. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant was excellent. The thatched bungalows are basic but clean and each have a verandah fronting your own private piece of beach on the lagoon. Prices are expensive but this is common for resorts across New Caledonia. The resort...

We stayed 3 nights in a bungalow at Kanua Tera. Separated by a fringe of trees, the shallow lagoon lapped almost at our verandah. Our goal was to stay in a place within easy access of the Parc Provincial de la Rivière Bleue, home of the Kagu or Cagou, a lovely flightless bird the size of a large chicken. Found...

Stayed here two nights because its the only accommodation close to the Goro nickel mine that is not in the mining camp. Its down a small access road by the beach. The accommodation is mostly thatched bungalow's. I stayed mid week so it was quiet but its a popular spot with the mine workers and families at weekends. Food at...

Lovely bungalow right on the beach. We stayed mid week which turned out to be a good chance, as apparently it filled up with mine workers and families with lots of children during the weekend. Stayed two nights, and could have managed another easily, but quite remote, with little around so wouldn't recommend more than 3 nights. Restaurant good but...
