A group of us attended a Friday night wedding at the nearby Union Bluff Meeting House and needed a place to stay for only one night - not easy in York in the middle of the summer where most places have two-night minimums. The Chamber of Commerce suggested Bittersweet and from my first contact with Victor, I knew we had...

We stayed here for four nights and overall had a pleasant experience. It is a reliable and affordable alternative to some of the chain hotels/motels and beachfront places in the area. Location: The B&B is conveniently-located and within walking distance to and from Cape Neddick Beach and Short Sands Beach and the Short Sands downtown/shopping area. It is a short...

This was exactly what it said it was, a bed and a breakfast. Plus, there was false advertising; the picture we saw of the b and b showed a lighthouse on a deserted-looking place. The actual B&B is on the intersection of two well-traveled roads. The owners were friendly, and the room was small, as it was shown in the...

We recently traveled to Maine for a wedding in York Beach. We booked Bittersweet because it was the only place we could find a affordable room with a 1 night min. My wife and I arrived about 3:15 and had to be at the wedding by 4:45 so we didn't get to visit with the owner. He rushed us up...

We stayed here on a business/ weekend vacation trip and were very happy. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. Our room was a bit small, but very very clean and tidy. Breakfast out on the porch surrounded by the lovely gardens (the flowers smell wonderful!) was fantastic. And yes, the blueberry muffins, like everyone else said, are very good....

We just got back from a 2-night stay at Victor and Ray's beautiful, immaculate B&B. The location is ideal, just far enough from York Beach (5 min by car) to allow a peaceful night's sleep. Our favorite part was eating fresh-baked blueberry muffins and drinking coffee on the sunny porch. Victor and Ray are excellent hosts, we will definitely stay...

The Bittersweet B & B is a home away from home. The Owners/Inn-keepers are friendly and accommodating. Their pride in their establishment shines through via the extremely well kept and very clean B & B. Breakfast is delightful, so I always head out with a full belly...and oh, I cannot say enough about the blueberry muffins. I hope they will...
