Do you like ants? Big black ones? Little black ones? Then this is the hotel for you! Spend the night chasing ants off your toddler. Wanna eat a pizza? Local seacost pizza is great. The ants give it 3 phlanges up! Don't worry about the broken door frame. Just because it looks like it was repaired by a drunken monkey, doesn't mean it was kicked in by said drunken monkey. The bathroom fan was installed in the early 30s and sounds original. The caulking around the tub was most likely added sometime in the 70s. And the shower head is straight out of a 1980s hospital. The walls appear to be made from paper mache. It's always nice to hear what your neighbour's are doing. All in all. If you're looking for a last minute place to sleep, and the tent park is full. This is a good deal.

Place likes to charge $200 smoking fees to anyone who stays here, then won’t answer calls and requests to speak with the manager (although looking at other reviews, he’s as much a crook as they come). It smells like weed and cigarettes upon arrival. There’s tape over the smoke detectors in the rooms and they use that as “proof” you smoked in the room. You don’t have to believe me though, scroll through the other reviews on other pages about this hotel, it’s their niche!!! I’ll be pursuing a case with the BBB - STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE IF YOU CAN HELP IT!!! You’re better off staying in your car.

We have a strict smoking policy in the room, so another guest can enjoy the nonsmoking room. We did provide you with pictures and statements from our staff members of the said object over smoke dector. Our rating with BBB is still outstanding.. Again, I do thank you for staying with us.

Very clean, easily accessible and decent price. Location is great for walkers because its close to Billy's Chowder House and Horizons (breakfast). Little bit further to walk to the ocean but doable for most adults. I would not walk with small children who aren't in strollers because sidewalks/walkways are sporadic as you make way to beach. There's is quite a bit of traffic as it sits on main road to beach. Mini golf attraction right across the street and well stocked Walgreens is kiddie corner. Attracts a wide variety of travelers.

Was a bit concerned as we pulled in as on the "back side" of the main building there were some guests gathering, smoking cigarettes and weed and playing music. Check in was easy however our room key didn't work. Called front desk and clerk came over and took care of it. We stayed in room 501 in the annex and we were very happy that it was on the 2nd (top) floor but it faced the main building which had a bright light (closed blinds and that helped). Couldn't really enjoy the little balcony as a guy in the main building was smoking up a storm and sadly could smell it. The rooms are no smoking but there were alot of people smoking on the balcony. I will say that we were pleasantly surprised with how nice our room was. Smelled clean (and was very clean) and the bed was nice and firm. Happy to have a K-Cup Keurig, fridge and microwave. A/C unit was icy cold and loved that you can run the fan all night for white noise. Price was reasonable too. We usually stay down the street but couldn't justify the rates for this time of the year. USA Inn was half the price.

I wanna warn people that when you booked thru booking.com make sure when you arrived at the hotel match what you pay thru bookingcom. They will let you sign the receipt but its not the price you paid online. If people not paying attention so many will get fooled everyday.I know its only small amount of money but still,I want honesty.I explain that to the receptionist before I even sign and she told me not to worry because booking wont charge me more yet the hotel added small amount.Oh no ain't gonna happen.I checked my bank account when I came back from staying with them and they charge me more what I paid online so I demand my money back. It's not ok charging more to people when booking.com had the set amount. The bed was hard. Our bed are much way better than theirs. The Wells beach is 1.2 miles so we walk the first day after we checked in and it is 30minutes walking.Come on now don't tell people it's 10minutes walking when it is not.Our room got AC on and everytime we are gone, comeback and we can smell weed. The next door was smoking pot.It stink. The lighting from outside was so bright at nigh time and the blinds don't do any good.Bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste as these aren't provided.Housekeepers are unfriendly. They don't have smile for the world. their wifi was good.I enjoyed using it as I got tons of pictures that I uploaded We did enjoy our time at Wells specilaly going to eat to resto and tried different sea foods.
