This charming throw-back motel exceeds expectations with its wonderful seaside location, proximity to local establishments and service from its proprietor. The indoor decor is cozy with a modern kitchenette and a posh, comfortable mattress (we slept well!) Barrett, the proprietor, was personable, responsive from the time of reservation to checkout and very generous with his time, knowledge of the community...

Wonderful owner! The room was small but had everything you needed. VERY clean. Loved the overflowing flower boxes everywhere. Bought lobsters & prepared them in the room for the ultimate Maine experience!

Boyce's Motel is across the street from the harbor along the main street in Stonington. Stonington itself is a working fishing village, unique in preserving the fishing culture, charm and pristine natural island resources. As clean and cozy as the motel is, the staff is even better. Brett is a shining example of what customer service means when you REALLY...

Looking to go back again. Owner is fabulous. Clean. Comfortable. Warm. Best beds and view. Cute diner next door in the winter. Theatre close by and things to do. Parking is perfect as well. Cannot ask for better.

This was the cleanest motel I have ever stayed at. The owner was extremely pleasant and helpful. The room had everything we needed, including a corkscrew, coffee maker with the accessories needed and comfy beds. I can't imagine a better place to stay on the island!

We stayed 3 nights here and loved every minute. Great location, a stone's throw from the sea front. The room was compact but had everything we needed and the most comfortable bed of our 10 week road trip so far! The owner, Barrett, was so helpful, giving us lots of information when we arrived regarding places to visit, local walks...

We loved Stonington and our 2-day stay there. The owner of Boyce's Motel is a very friendly guy, extremely helpful and with a sense of humor. Ok, it's not as if you'd have much choice regarding hotels - especially not in late October - but we would recommend to stay at this motel as it is very charming.

We did a quick stopover on Deer Isle on the recommendation of a friend during our Canada/Maine road trip and found this little place in off-the-charts charming Stonington, online, before we left. Glad we booked because it was sold out mid-week, even in late September. Owner/manager Barrett was nice as can be, and super responsive to any and all communications...

Boyce's Motel is located in the heart of the quaint fishing village of Stonington. From our harbor side dock you can watch the lobstermen head out to sea early in the morning before the sun comes up to haul their lobster traps and then enjoy the afternoon soaking in the sun while watching the lobstermen return with their days catch. Stonington is the largest lobster port on the coast of Maine. Our beautiful island offers guests a great place to unwind and relax.
