We arrived a day early from Bar Harbor after checking out of a disappointing hotel and were immediately made to feel special and wanted and as if we were the only guests (which we weren't as the hotel was understandably full). The staff were absolutely wonderful - especially Esther at breakfast who had time for everyone and was absolutely delightful.... More

We are two British guys on a two week driving tour of the New England States. We spent two nights at the Lindenwood in mid October and this was by far the best experience of the entire trip. We were fantastically looked after by Esther, Jim & Fred and their great staff. We had a lovely room on the second... More

We spent a couple of enjoyable nights here leaf peeping. Well located, comfy rooms, very pleasant breakfast (small kitchenette down the hall also). Our room was in a separate building, but it was only a short walk away and there was a lounge area with a warm gas fire. Great staff, very helpful with suggestions for trips and restaurants.

Room 9 offers a long narrow room with a queen bed on one end, couch, coffee table with small tv face the bathroom door and dresser. There is a large framed drawing of Winston Churchill over the mantel of a non-functioning fireplace. Up several steps is a door leading to a large deck directly across from the non-functional fireplace. In... More

I needed somewhere to stay and all of the Bar Harbor lodging was taken. Not knowing much about the area, but knowing Southwest Harbor was nearby, I decided to opt for this Inn. What a very pleasant surprise! My king room had a sumptuous bed, a separate living area with t.v., and bathroom. I was on the 2nd floor, and... More

When we arrived we were told we were upgraded to one of their larger rooms. This was great news considering it was our anniversary and the larger room had a better view. Upon giving us a tour of Inn they asked if we had any special food requests. This was nice because all of the previous inn's we stayed at... More

Staff was very helpful and courteous, location was beautiful looking out onto the harbor. However, considering the price we paid, there were a few drawbacks, 1) there were unpainted areas in the bathroom where the wall had been patched, 2) we had to leave earlier one morning so couldn't eat breakfast and I requested if they could leave us a... We stayed for three nights early September. The inn was nice and the staff was friendly. Rooms were clean and towels were changed daily and the beds were made - but I did find hair in bath tub the day we arrived - gross! Everything was neat and clean otherwise. We didn't use the pool or the hot tub since... More

We stayed two nights and thoroughly enjoyed the place. Breakfast was great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very nice but not too big. Beds are very comfortable. The outdoor pool and hot tub are a welcome addition. Excellent location. Would stay again.

Our stay was really pleasant and felt like holiday. The breakfast was delicious. The room was spacious and had a nice bed and many windows and wooden floor which was great. Everything was clean. The manager was a really nice lady and recommended the best hikes for us. They had a nice garden with flowers. We enjoyed Acadia a lot.... More
