The hotel wants to be a first class hotel, however, their service does not match their hopes. Why does the person checking you in, look like a slob. I could not tell he worked for the hotel. Cargo shorts and a dirty t-shirt don't make...More
You half expect to see Kennedys and Roosevelts walking the property. We stayed just before the Claremont closed for the season and it was quiet and lovely. Room P4 is the one to get! The grounds are beautiful. Great place for couples, families and extended...More

We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit that had view of the sound from the master bedroom, living room and deck. There was a wood-burning fireplace in the living room, full kitchen and large deck with table for 4. There are some units right on the water, but not sure if they have gas or wood fireplaces. Beal's lobster pier is short walk away and is excellent. Thurston's lobster pound is about 15-minute drive and is also excellent.
