This is the kind of hotel that should have more character. Its in the middle of the Old Port part of Portland. Over all it has a nice interior and the bar/restaurant has a nice enclosed garden for outdoor dining. But nothing stands out from other hotels such as the Regency nearby. The staff are friendly and the hotel is...

My wife and had a stop in Portland between family vacations at the beach in Rhode Island and Acadia National Park. We decided to take one night to ourselves to celebrate our anniversary. After debating between Portsmouth and Portland, we chose Portland because of the number and variety of shops, restaurants and bars within walking distance (Portsmouth is nice, but...

After spending a few days in the heat of Boston, Portland was a nice break and the PHH helped make our stay very comfortable. Pros: -courtesy car with pick up and drop off at train station -Very quite court facing room (416) -informative and helpful staff -Lobby computer to use to send emails or look at Tripadvisor -Great location (restaurants,...

Had high expectations from the website and the price point ($400+ per night – pre paid) thought it would be good to try a ‘non chain’ luxury hotel – booked a Junior garden suite. Good points – location was perfect, room décor nicely chosen colours, good shower, Valet Parking Team, Wi Fi worked. Bad points – Bedding/sheets etc. old (that...

Everything about our stay here was perfect. The location of the hotel is central to restaurant and shopping, we were here for several days touring around and only used our car once. The hotel was beautiful, clean, new and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful! Would definitely stay here again.

We have stayed at PHH several times when visiting this delightful town. The hotel is centrally located but quieter than others of similar style and price. Has a boutique feel with all the amenities you need. If visiting in the warm months, be sure to have a drink in the courtyard: beautifully landscaped, great service, small plates and drinks. Will...

This hotel was very beautiful and comfortable, even if the rooms were a bit small. All staff were very friendly, and the Concierge, Reggie, helped us book city and harbor tours and decide where to eat for dinner. The courtyard area is very cute and quaint. The hotel is in a great location in the Old Port district, with the...

Stayed at the Portland Harbor Hotel over July 4 (2015) weekend and was very pleased. There are several other places to stay in "Old Port" - the center of the City's main area for hotels, restaurants and shops, and the Portland Habor Hotel is an excellent combination of high quality, location and value. As other reviews note, the location could...
