We enjoyed a lovely and relaxing fall weekend at the Chadwick to celebrate our anniversary. Our stay was in the bright and cozy Baxter Room, which had a super comfy (new!) bed, large and private bathroom across the hall, and adorable private balcony perfect for another cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at night. Our...

After 4 B&B’s and the is our new fave. (32 yr old married couple from Ohio) Classic decor with modern amenities. Everything was clean, plus they had robes so we knew it was fancy. Netflix/AmazonTV, bluetooth alarm and the sound machine were nice touches (we just bought it for home it was so peaceful). Great bathrooms, the in-shower mounted soap/shampoo/conditioner...

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Chadwick. The inn itself is beautifully furnished with every amenity you can imagine. The Chadwick is a period home/inn that offers every modern convenience. We were greeted by a staff member who showed us around, explained all the amenities...complimentary coffee/tea/beverages, fruit, yogurt and homemade cookies as well as sommelier selected...

This is a perfectly ok bed and breakfast in Portland, but definitely tired. I chose it for our two night stay after reading many rave reviews on Tripadvisor which positioned it as a luxury offering. But honestly, this bed and breakfast is quite ordinary - rooms are not large; bathrooms are not modern. There is nothing really wrong (unless you...

Ouch! This particular review stings... not only does it describe The Chadwick in a very different light that we are accustomed to but the title is rather tough to swallow.... being compared to Mutton doesn't sit well. I'd like to address the reviewer's concerns. I wish Maria had told us what is "tired" about the inn. Looking around the house,...

Had the pleasure of staying at the Chadwick B&B in Portland Maine in early Sept. Located about 30- 45 minute walk from downtown. One of the nicest B&B's we have stayed at because of the attention to detail. It started with a friendly tour of the house which included use of a computer, candies and chocolates in surrounding dishes, games, books...

This is a great B&B. The rooms were very quiet and comfortable. Could not hear anything from adjoining rooms. The full breakfasts were very yummy, all recipes taken from a special brunch cookbook which they were willing to share with us. The hosts could not be more accommodating and willing to share information about Portland. The only quibble we had...

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights as part of our brief honeymoon to Portland, and it was wonderful. Scott and Erin, were professional, friendly, and made excellent and varied breakfasts for us each morning. The inn itself is small and intimate but my husband and I stayed in a room that had its own hallway with its...

My wife and I spent five nights here on a recent trip to Portland. After looking at a number of properties we decided on the Chadwick. We had the Longfellow room on the front side. Everything about the room was great. Plenty of space for us with a closet and enough floor space for all our stuff. A lot of...

The Chadwick is our favorite! The accommodations are lovely and comfortable, Erin, Scott and Carney are friendly and helpful , the food is great ( the eggs Benedict with orange hollandaise sauce is positively ambrosial!) The bathroom towels are the softest I've ever used. They have wonderful French press coffee 24 hours a day, along with great homemade cookies, fruit,...
