Ogunquit is known as "A Beautiful Place by the Sea". The Seafarer is the warmest, family friendly resort in walking distance to all Ogunquit has to offer. Our beach is over 3 miles of white sand. Our views of the ocean from Marginal Way are spectacular. Perkins Cove is a little fishing & lobster cove that is a piece of history that you don't want to miss.

We stayed 3 nights and were very disappointed. Room and bedding were not clean. Blankets were dirty and had holes in them. Persistent mold/mildew smell in the room. While the room was non-smoking people were allowed to smoke outside the rooms on the large porch. In fact there were many ashtrays all around the property. If you don’t like smoking this is not the place for you.

When we checked we told the owner we had a guide dog from Guide Dogs for the Blind. She was horrified. She said if she had known she would have booked us somewhere else. She said we have children here, what if they pat the dog and it bites. Who is going to pay to clean to clean the room? We responded the dog is very clean and we brought our own sheet to cover the bed and removed the spread. Guide dogs do not bark or bite and when working should not be approached. ADA has very clear rules about acceptance of blind people with service dogs. It was very upsetting to feel discrimination.

Response from Wanderer40306, General Manager at Seafarer Condominium Resort

Yes, I was taken by surprised when you checked in and informed me of your service dog. Only, for the reason we would have given you a room that would accommodate you and our other quests. We are a family resort with a lot of children. Some kids are afraid of dogs and others may have allergies. We did move and upgrade a couple of guest around you per their request. With no problem. It would be very helpful, when making your next hotel reservation, that you inform reservations you will be bringing a service dogs so they/we can provide the proper accommodations for all. Thank you, Nancy/GM

We were there only two nights, but had a very nice stay. Right on main street close to all places in ogunquit. You can walk to the center or Perkins cove. The grounds are very clean. The staff is very nice. There was a refrigerator in our room, but wish there was a microwave. Room was good size and clean. The bathroom itself has the sink and mirror in it, so it makes it a little hard when getting ready in the morning. Be aware that even though smoking is not permitted in the rooms, people can smoke right outside the room in this nice area to sit and relax. There are two pools. One inside and one outside. We didn't try them but the looked nice. There is also a cute gas fire pit at night. There is also a grill area if you want to cookout. Overall we had a great experience and would go back.

Been going there for summer vacations the past few years. After experiencing other hotels, which are nice too, the Seafarer has it all. It’s a short walk to town, Perkins cove for a nightly stroll and for those days where you wish to stay on the beach. The rooms are larger than normal, some with kitchens for family dinner time, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, nice grounds and a great sitting porch or patio. Going to the beach or staying by one of the pools all day, you can then dine in or out, sit by the fire pit and then relax on the deck before rebooting for the next day.

My family and I had the best experience at the Seafarer Resort. the rooms are large, with a fully equipped kitchen and VERY clean! The location is excellent. We were able to walk to the beach, Perkins Cove and all of the shops and restaurants in town. The two pools - indoor and outdoor were a great added extra. We will return to Ogunquit and book with the Seafarer again!
