Sunday River always has the best conditions and so many different trails for all kinds if ability. Just came back from 3 days of skiing, and the conditions could not have been better. Lots of options for trails, lodging, and restaurants.

I love skiing at Sunday River, so much in fact, that I moved near it. Perhaps the biggest thing going for Sunday River is their snowmaking. If you want to ski and it's winter, even if it hasn't snowed, there will be snow at the River! They make tons of snow every day they can thru the season. Even for... More

We planned to go to Sunday River and my Girlfriend tore her ACL 2 months before our visit. We contacted then immediately to tell them we may need to cancel. About a month before out trip, I emailed our representative to cancel and didn't hear back. I called a week later and then they said it was non refundable even... More

Four families rented a 6BR house in Viking Village the week between Christmas and New Year's. It was extremely convenient to ski Sunday River. We were located within walking distance of the Barker Express or Locke Lift. The Chondola, South Ridge Express and Barker Express lift lines got ridiculously crowded, especially in the afternoon, but you could avoid the crowds... More

Our ski club has organized a trip to Sunday River for more than 10 years. We always find it a pleasant, fun experience. They must treat their staff well because there are quite a few that have been there for most of the time we have visited. Beth at ski check always has a smile and friendly conversation, Frank at... We ski Sunday River often and have stayed at all of the various hotels and condos here, but until last year never at Snow Cap Lodge. Always had the impression it was more of a dorm with outdated accommodations. What a pleasant surprise it is! Rooms are somewhat basic, but quite comfortable and clean. Most have 2 queen size beds... We were in a coach tour party, which was greeted with a glass of champagne welcome: nice touch! The staff were unfailingly friendly , helpful and efficient, both housekeeping and restaurant, eg when I couldn't adjust the air conditioning in my room ( hadn't read the instructions properly!) a cheerful maintenance man was immediately sent up to sort it for... The room was impeccable. Very clean and bright with nice views. The hotel staff was also always ready to help you or answer any questions. Everything was in place and worked. The pool was kept well and the gym was clean and orderly though unstaffed. The only downside was that the hiking trails were not blazed well. Other than that... More

We were at this hotel for a conference on 8/6 and 8/7 for a conference. The hotel did not appear run-down to me at all! It was very clean and open and had the feeling of a ski lodge. Lots of seating areas to just chill. They have two elevators and we never had to wait for one. Our room... More

This hotel is old, run-down and dirty. Our conference was held in the ballroom - terrible conference venue where it was difficult to see the screen. Terribly uncomfortable chairs and freezing air con made for unpleasant and long days. Lack of care by staff was shown by the table cloths being put on the tables upside down. Food was awful... More
