Trying to find an excuse to go back to newcastle to visit the Tipsy Butler with my boyfriend. I went 4 years ago, and had the most wonderful experience and breakfast. I'd give this my highest recommendation. Warm, welcoming, the host left me be but gave me a thorough tour of the adorable home. The breakfast was a poached egg...

This was our second time at the Tipsy Butler, and we love the place. Sarah is perhaps the most accomodating innkeeper we've ever met. Her warmth and hospitality are amazing, and there doesn't seem to be a contingency she has't thought of, including slickers in case of rain and a basket of blankets should you want to sit outside on...

This was my first time staying at a bed and breakfast and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Sarah was very nice and very talkative! She showed us around the property and told us anecdotes about the home and area. She had tons of games and dvds and a stereo in the living room area. She made delicious breakfasts' every morning and...

My spouse and I spent a night here and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We were in the Maid's room, a spacious and gorgeous rose-themed room and a terrific bathroom--even a bidet! The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and our host Sarah added immensely to the fun. We didn't know until the morning about Myrtle--be sure to ask about her. We hope...

We were in New Castle for a wedding for three nights in mid-August and found this to be the perfect place for us. Sarah, the hostess, is delightful, extremely accommodating and we wanted for nothing. The breakfasts are awesome and the bed was extremely comfortable. We had the Butler's room with a king size bed and I slept great every...

I was nervous to choose a bed and breakfast because so much of the experience often depends upon the Proprietor. WOW. Sarah was simply amazing. I felt that she was the quintessential host, from making sure that coffee was piping hot when we wanted it, to little treats on the turned down bed to, to, to - just everything. This...

This was our first B&B experience ever and it was thoroughly enjoyable. We chose the Tipsy Butler based on the reviews we saw here and everything positive that has been said is spot on! We stayed two nights, and chose the Cook's Room. This is the smallest of the four rooms and even though it did not have the king...

Sarah is a wonderful hostess, the inn is lovely, rooms are spacious and comfortable and the breakfasts are To Die For! If mid-coast Maine is where you are looking to stay, then do try this super spot.

We stayed at The Tipsy Butler this past week end. It is in a perfect location to downtown Daramiscotta, Maine, we walked to town. Sara(h) was very hospitable, eager to assist us with anything we needed, and provided a delicious breakfast each morning. The rooms are exceptionally clean with many amenities. Do not be discouraged when you see it from...

Sarah and Tony will welcome you with warmth and English style to the Tipsy Butler. It's a bit hard to find for those who don't know their way around tiny Newcastle, but it's well worth the search. We had the best room(s) in the house..a luxurious and game-filled living room, a great bedroom with comfy bed (silk topped, no less,...

“Choose the Maid's Room if you have one other person travelling with you because there is a small but charming twin bed single room attached to the Maid's Room with a Jack and Jill bathroom. My husband and I put our teen aged son in there. It was glorious.”
