I was delighted to be able to stay here in early September 2013. I went by myself (artists bucket list) to paint and experience Monhegan Island. I had a small room on the top floor. Very clean and comfortable with a great view of the...More
It is difficult for me to review this property because it is unlike any other place I have ever stayed. It was like going back in time. I like the old fashioned feel of the hotel and loved the rocking chairs on the front porch....More
We stayed here for two nights in one of their one bedroom suites. These rooms have their own bathrooms, a sitting area and a lovely bedroom. The bed was very comfortable and the overall suite was very large. You have your own patio area to...More
We traveled with our three children and stayed at the Monhegan House. We had a wonderful experience. The Inn was like an Inn in many ways: living space to play games, read books, have tea, coffee or hot chocolate and there was a delicious breakfast...More

I stayed at Monhegan House several years ago. I was unable to receive cell phone service there or on most of the island. Only one side of the island connected for me and it is too far to walk. I don't know if this is because I have T-Mobile or if all the carriers have service limitations. Has this changed? Or is wi-fi available at MH, or for that matter, anywhere else that may be convenient?

I was at Monhegan House this past weekend. Some people were able to get cell phone service, but not all. MH does have free wifi, which worked well for me.
