This place is amazing, at the lake. Small wooden cottages are spread in the forest. Very kind team. Food is delicious and everything is very clean. We walked from the entrance of Baxter State Park, 1h30. We sent al our luggage, our food and wine bottles through Katharine Air in Millinocket. You can't hardly get closer to nature. Total disconnection:...

We spent 3 days away from everything. No cell phones, no screens, no electricity and the kids loved it ! Beautiful lake (water is warm, perfect for swimming), nice hikes (ask Holly how to go to Rocky Pound), the cabins are clean and comfortable and the food is delicious. If you're not afraid to walk 1h20 with your backpack to...

Wow, wow, wow....Our trip was 3 couples. My husband and I chose to use Katahdin Air Services to fly into the cabins. We took our gear plus all the food for our entire party. The other 2 couples hiked in with their packs. It is a 3.3 mile hike in from the parking lot. The cabins are rustic, homey and...

I've stayed at Katahdin Lake Wilderness Camps two consecutive Februaries (2011 and 2012) and I can't say enough about how wonderful my experiences were. The setting is magical; the staff are invariably friendly, helpful, and accommodating; the meals are hearty and delicious; and the lodge and cabins offer cozy, rustic comfort. The world needs more places like this! I hope...

we stayed for three nights and could easily have stayed longer. The cabins are really comfortable, the food is excellent - all the childrens needs were catered for, even our picky eaters. Holly and crew could not have done any more for us, they are always ready to help with anything - it was raining for our first two days...

We hiked in with my folks in their 70's and my kids (6 & 8). It was generally a pretty easy 3.3 miles for the whole crew (400 feet verticle change and a number of six inch boardwalks over boggy sections), though both grandparents and grandchildren were delighted to finally arrive! The cabins are tight, clean, cute and comfortable. Ours...
