Well you know you've found a great place when you can't decide if you want to write a review and share the place or keep it a secret and all to yourself!! My wife and I stayed here a couple of weeks ago, and had a fantastic time. When we booked we thought we were taking a bit of a...

We felt very welcomed. Our family stayed in the caboose for 2 nights and had a great time. There was a limited menu, but the food was good. The owners are adding new features to the property to make it more appealing. We would love to go back. Thanks for the hospitality.

My family and I stopped over for a night on our way to manitoba from Toronto. The owner was extremely friendly and even made some juicy burgers for the kids at past midnight. That I commend as they took an extra mile to make us sleep fed. Accommodation is not the fancy type but it's worth taking time to enjoy...

Highly recommend. We had a great visit. If you want to get back to nature, go here. The kayaking tour down the Goulais was fantastic. If you enjoy hiking -- head over to the Robertson Cliffs for spectacular views of the wilderness below and Superior in the distance.

Good breakfast served at the restaurant started our day. After being dropped off at a spot on the river recommended by our host . we spent the day canoeing, fishing and swimming . wonderful. Lodge was quite with plenty of space around. Helpful and knowledgeable staff to help plan activities in area.

We stayed at Mountainview Lodge for a week to paddle the Goulais River. The proprietors, Paul and Chris, helped us launch the canoe and picked us up after each day, They even packed our lunches. I would strongly recommend Mountainview for extended vacations and leisure such as fishing, four-wheeling and paddling.

I first spoke to Paul on the phone and liked him instantly. If you want to be treated like family, family you really like, stay here. We were just spending 2 nights, had 3 great meals, steak was cooked to perfection. We enjoyed open mike night on Thursday with locals Mister Tahti and Jeff (sorry can't remember his surname) both...

Stayed with my family for a night passing through the area. Stayed in the caboose! Kids loved it, owners are very accommodating and welcoming! Location is only a 20-30 minute drive from Sault Ste Marie and makes a great alternative to your typical cookie cutter 2-3 star accommodations.

When I saw that we could stay in a caboose I was hooked. My teenage girls thought it was the highlight of our vacation. Paul is a great host. Went out of his way to help make us feel at home. His breakfast was amazing. We hated we missed the entertainment in the lodge. We didn't have a chance to...
