We stayed in the lovely second story 2 BR carriage house room which had a spectacular view and lovely accommodations. Linda was very efficient in terms of accommodating a last minute add on guest and making our reservation for excursions. Our trip was a spontaneous long family weekend but imagine the lodge to be perfect for couples as well. Chloe,...

What an amazing place! I wish we had planned a second night! Visited late August with my 9 year old son. The Inn is gorgeous and leaves you wanting for nothing. Our room was impeccable and provided everything we might need for a night in the woods - right down to flashlights! Breakfast the next morning was delicious - blueberry...

I took my husband here for a surprise weekend away for our 10th anniversary in June and we couldn't have asked for a better weekend. It was even better than the pictures! The grounds are beautiful and meticulously maintained. The owners really know how to make you feel special. The food was delicious and we fell in love with Chloe...

Traveling to Moosehead Lake has long been a bucket list trip for me - some gals want Paris - I want a forest, a lake and a lot of moose : ) Linda ( and Denis ) made this literally a dream come true. From the ease of booking on-line ( in the Moose room naturally ) and adding in...

Our stay was so enjoyable. We loved the Lodge, the area, the views, the food, the ambience, everything. As I said to Linda, "You've thought of everything." All of the personalized touches really resonated with my wife, as did the Lodge's impeccable cleanliness, comfort, and elegance. Neither of us wanted to leave, and when we return, we will do so...

Staying here in August. Besides September, probably the best time to visit Maine. Fantastic lodge, fantastic locale. Mountains, huge lake, I think you get the picture. This lodge is special. A lot of unique touches. Special care has been given to make this a special place. You can't go wrong staying here.

Our stay at the Trout Room at the lodge at Moosehead Lake was wonderful. (The trout room does not have a view of the lake, but is otherwise a very nice room.) The service here was truly 5-star, with nice touches like a dark chocolate truffle on the nightstand for turn-down service, extra towels available for our daytime rafting trip,...

This hotel is a throw back to the 50s/60s lodging era, meaning an independent hotel that was not a cookie cutter replica of every other hotel. While some remodeling would be beneficial, e.g. new carpeting, overall it is a nice hotel. The pros are the outstanding views of Moosehead Lake and the spaciousness of the rooms. The cons are the...
