We stayed at Acadia View based on the various TripAdvisor recommendations and were not disappointed. Jim and Pat Close, the proprietors, are quite hospitable and knowledgeable about the "quiet" side of Acadia. The inn itself as well as the rooms are very clean, spacious and charming. It is also very quiet, particularly after traffic from Route 1 dies down later...

The rooms are nicely decorated, this was an anniversary getaway, the room had a balcony overlooking Frenchman's Bay and Bar Harbor with all the lights at night. Beautiful scenery, great location for exploring Schoodic Point, ate at one of the best restaurants we've ever been too, hidden pretty deep in the woods, past Schoodic point turnoff, suggested by the hosts (name...

Charming, beautiful home, comfortable, outstanding view. The hosts were marvelous, friendly and welcoming. Breakfasts were wonderful and beautifully presented and we so enjoyed visiting with the other guests. We selected the room downstairs that did not have a direct ocean view but they we had a private porch that did have the ocean view which even on a chilly afternoon...

Acadia View was our best stay in a B&B. The house has nice location. It overlooks Acadia, and we were able to reach the ocean by following the path in the garden. The room was nice and clean. Jim and Pat were very nice and friendly. They helped us with finding restaurants and gave us guides that saved us a...

This was the first time staying at a B&B for us & after our experience at Acadia View it won't be our last. We stayed in the Cranberry Room & loved the views right out the French doors leading to the private deck. The King size bed was very comfortable & the bathroom was a good size & very clean....

Acadia View was the best B & B I've ever stayed at. The house is beautiful, immaculate and has an understated luxury. The bed was soft. We stayed in the 2nd floor Flanders Bay room and had an extraordinary view of the grounds and the bay from our balcony, and the pretty woods were the view from our side window....

My wife and I spent three wonderful nights at Acadia View B&B in July 2014. Jim and Pat were wonderful hosts and obviously loved doing what they do. If you're planning on spending all your time at Acadia NP and Mount Desert Island, this property is quite a drive from there. But that is exactly what my wife and I...

We try to frequent B&B's whenever we stay in an area more than a few days and hope the proprietors guide us towards the highlights of the area and away from the traps. Pat and Jim exceeded our expectations. They provided a map of Acadia National Park tailored to our interests and have personally taken the trails they recommended to...

Couldn't have been any better. View is fantastic, the décor is exquisite, and the owners are friendly without being intrusive. My only regret is that I was there for only 1 night. Looking forward to coming back for a longer stay when it is a bit warmer so I can leave the door to the deck open while I sleep....

We stayed at the Acadia View B&B the first week in October 2013 in the Frenchman's Bay room. The entire B&B is beautiful, the house and the property. We stayed for the entire week and felt like friends with the owners, Jim & Pat, by the time we left. Pat made wonderful breakfasts every morning, my favorite was the french...

“Our deck view was directly onto the bay and the mountains of Acadia. I would probably pick the Frenchman's Bay room again.”

“choose a room with the balcony that faces directly toward Frenchman's Bay, some balcony's you have to walk out and around to get the view, so cannot really be seen from your bedroom window...otherwise, any room is fine, as they are all nicely decorated and have access to a private viewing area.”

“We stayed downstairs to save some money as that room does not have the ocean view but since we were out exploring during the day we were fine with that. We did stop back during the day and did take advantage of the private porch that was for this room and from that porch we did have a view of the ocean.”
