We came across the Falmouth Inn by chance and loved it. The staff were really lovely and very helpful. You can get the bus to Portland from the side of Walmart, across the road. It's a 20 minute trip and Portland is a beautiful city. The motel is quiet and has everything you need within walking distance. We have travelled...

The Falmouth Inn reminds me of childhood travel. It has a 1960s feel. The rooms are clean and quiet with ample facilities. The motel staff were helpful and accommodating. The Inn is on the bus line that goes into Portland. It is a good locations and the room rates are reasonable. I went to a weekend workshop near by and...

The family decided they wanted one more day at Old Orchard beach. After finding hotel rooms in Portland they were dirty and disgusting for 200 and up we came across this little place. It wasn't fancy, it wasnt, luxorious; however it is not designed to be. What it was simply was clean, inexpensive and friendly. We got in kinda late...

This is an inexpensive motel that's cheap and clean and close to Portland if you can't afford the $200+ accommodation rates of downtown Portland. You do need a car, but it's a straight shot from Route 1 into town. Definitely worth checking out to save money at this motel.

This is a no frills 1960's motel located in a suburb of Portland, Maine with no amenities other than vending machines but rooms are clean and quiet, location is convenient and safe, staff is friendly and helpful, and the price is right.

We had a morning appointment in Falmouth and didn't want to make a 4-hour drive in the morning, so we called the Falmouth Inn at the last minute to reserve a room. The desk clerk was very helpful, offered us a AAA discount, and booked us. Because we would eb arriving late, he said he'd get the room ready, leave...

I needed to stay a hotel that was walking distance from a friend's house. This place fit the bill. It's an old-style, basic motel. I'm guessing that it was built in the 1950's or 1960's. It doesn't seem to have received a major renovation, but it's not shabby either. Reception was gracious. Bed was comfortable, but the blankets were thin....

I needed a place to stay during a snowstorm, and the staff at the Falmouth Inn could not have been nicer or more accommodating. My room was charming and spotlessly clean. Wifi reception was perfect. And the price was very reasonable. If I ever need a place to stay in the Portland area, I will definitely return.

This motel should not be allowed to use the name "inn", which connotes a little charm, flowers etc. Although the room seemed clean (it passed the sniff test),it is just a brick motel surrounded by blacktop near such delights as McDonald's and Walmart. The ice machine is still broken (Sept. 1, 2013) and the rooms are sad: I've stayed at...

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful along with having one room left, what could be better right? Well as was already reported, the ice machine was out of service, apparently going on many months now, and in order to get it from the front, we had to make sure we went back before they closed at 10....
