Have stayed here before so knew exactly what to expect. You must keep in mind it's the only hotel in town. Had a bit of reservation mix up so if booking in advance I strongly suggest you get it in an email if possible. Room wise it's all about location this place has great view ocean. I suggest room #...

I have stayed at the Motel East in the past, the first time years ago when the rooms were freshly done. In the intervening years, not much changed but I could always rely on having a clean room. I haven't traveled that way for many years, and I recently booked two rooms for myself and friends. We were all astounded...

I wish I could give 0 points. We arrived late at night and were so tired. Checkin was closed, found our key in the mailbox. First impression: huge room, poorly and old interior with an old smokey smell. Without a close alternate there we decided to stay for the night. My kids and my husband slept very fast. But not...

About the only thing positive was the view of the water out the window. The room is outdated with a small TV that was a long way from the bed so you could hardly see it. The big thing was it was COLD! There was an old portable room heater which you plug in. I moved it as close to...

The reviews were misleading to say the least! Very poor for a high price. Just old and rundown. No coffee in room, but cups and such. Carpet was dirty and chairs were old. Had a nice dinner at the Happy Crab down the street.

Well, we arrived and found no other accommodation so went for this motel as it seemed to have a lovely view. It turned out that that was the only positive. We were overcharged but that was sorted eventually. The décor was miserable and dated and the worst thing was the smell of stale cigarette smoke (I have been a smoker...

The location of this motel was wonderful and the room was large. Unfortunately that is where all the positives end. We were in the area in March when all the other motels, hotels, and campgrounds were closed. The room was heated by a edenpure heater which made the air so dry I had trouble breathing. Maybe that is why the...

Nice location, big rooms, microwave sink and fridge in each room. but very dated and old beds furnature bedding etc. Trash under the bed just not clean or kept up. Stayed as it was the only hotel open this week. Rather expensive too.

We stayed here for a night in October 2014. We were attracted by the superb waterfront location with vews across to Deer Island and the harbour. The view was the best thing about the property. It was miserably equiped. Our room was a 'suite', with a fridge, sink and microwave. There was no coffee maker, one plate, three forks ,...

Many of the guests seemed to be heavy smokers and the rooms reeked of smoke. In September, the motel catered mostly to construction workers (that may have explained the smoke) who carried on loud conversations and joking from one floor to the next. Management paid little attention to detail; there were missing light bulbs in the room and no soap...
