We had driven by the Riverside Inn & Restaurant innumerable times but never quite got around to committing to the 75-minute drive to have dinner there. What a mistake! We missed out on over ten years' of opportunities for fantastic dining experiences. Not inexpensive by Maine standards, but the setting, food, and overall ambiance make it well worth the cost...

My recent stay was my first B&B experience ever, and it couldn't have been better. The accommodations were perfect and the hospitality shown by the owners was beyond expectations. I can't imagine how stressful it can be inviting strangers into your home, but the owners didn't show any hesitation and welcomed everyone as if we were old friends. It really...

This was our second stay at this wonderful inn and won't be our last. We stayed in the Upper Coach 2 nights then moved to the Lower Coach for one. The rooms are quaint and very comfortable and the breakfasts are to die for. Rocky and Ellen are wonderful hosts and cooks, and their adorable Pomeranian Gigi just adds to...

The Riverside Inn is a quiet little inn on the East Machias River. When we arrived, a bald eagle was flying over the river outside our room. Ellen and Rocky let us know that there was a nest shortly up the river with 4 eagles in it. The Sun Rise Trail traverses the river, and we were able to easily...

First, we are very happy you had a great stay. Rocky and I try very hard to make your time here unique and comfortable. Yes the WiFi is a problem right now. We are currently finding a different provider. Thank you for your comments..Ellen

Pretty, spacious bathroom, small comfortable room (we chose the smallest room.) Breakfast was good- not gourmet - but good. Traditional B&B decor but not over-the-top frilly. Beautiful setting along the river. Husband took a fantastic run in the early morning on the trail aside the river right out the back door.

This is a wonderful B&B in a beautiful setting along the river. The owners, Rocky and Ellen, were very friendly and accommodating. The home is very well maintained and clean. I regret not being able to stay longer, but I was on business. The full breakfast served was delicious and wished I could have stayed for an evening meal. I...

Nice place, great food, lots of interesting antiques...and friendly hosts. We hope to stay here again....watching the seals in the river and the bald eagles were a plus as well. The blueberry pancakes and french toast was mouth-watering.

Traveling for work in this part of state, and after a long day of travel I found this B&B and its owners a delight. quick check in, lovely quiet room that was excellently decorated. situated in the true down east corner of Maine, a getaway from the usual tourist traps of the state.

Thanks to TA & a bit of luck, late in the day, we were able to score a room in the main house at the Riverside Inn. Rocky/his wife were wonderful hosts and fun to talk with. Their decoration of this historic jewel B&B is nothing short of impressive. Their attention to details is visible throughout the entire house, which...

Great place to relax. Comfortable bed. Rocky was very willing to help. Great breakfast. Shower is as hot as you want it. If you need a B&B this is the place to stay. Try the food at Helen's, too. I'll definitely stay here again. $25 fee for a dog though
