What a wonderful experience at Brewsters B&B we had. The owner and host at Brewsters is extremely hospitable, welcoming and genuinely cared about our well-being. The game room was our room and it has plenty of room, windows, interesting books, places to sit comfortably, refrigerator and our large bed was so comfy with fluffy pillows and a lovely quilt. Our...

Thank you for your review. We're so pleased that you enjoyed your stay in the game room, which is a favorite among repeat guests. Having so much space to relax, read, play board games and enjoy the fireplace are a few of the reasons guests will book it each stay when possible. We're glad you enjoyed the Stephen King info,...

We enjoyed our stay at Brewster Inn immensely. Our host was very kind in helping us with our trip through beautiful Maine by recommending sites to visit and great places to eat. We highly recommend Brewster Inn to all who wish to have a great time in Maine.

What can be said that has not already be written? Mark the host made our stay a very memorable one.... and if you are looking for a trip down memory lane the small well run 'mill museum' run by Peter is a must. Bed was super comfortable and breakfast delish. Mark will get you wherever you need or want to...

Thanks for posting your review. The museum is a wonderful asset to Dexter. We're happy that you enjoyed your sleep. We choose bedding and pillows that we ourselves would (and do) want to sleep on so that our guests could have a relaxing and comfortable sleep. Just as we want breakfast to always have at least one dish that makes...

We were in Bangor to do the Stephen King tour and wanted to stay in a B&B instead of the usual chain hotel. The Brewster Inn is in Dexter, ME, a short drive from Bangor. We are so glad we chose it, as it was a wonderful weekend getaway spot. Mark, the innkeeper, made us feel like we were guests...

Thank you for posting a review and choosing to stay with us when in the area. We have many guests who enjoy the Stephen King tour. Especially since Dexter has some unique connections to Stephen King, for example: the opening scenes of Creepshow2 were shot in front of Reny's department store downtown, the front cover of the book Needful Things...

We stayed at The Brewster Inn only one night in the Honeymoon suite (09/18/2016). The house is gorgeous and very clean! Sleeping here makes you feel privileged. Breakfast is fantastic: tea, coffee and homemade cookies. We really felt like home. Mark is a wonderful host! It is very impressing how he managed to set up this place and how he...

Thank you for your review. While we are partial to all our rooms, we do think the Honeymoon suite is very special. It's perfect for said honeymoon, for a romantic get away, or just someplace luxurious to relax. We're so glad you felt at home and enjoyed the breakfast. Dexter, like many local small towns, is indeed quiet in the...

Once again, staying at the Brewster Inn did NOT disappoint! We stayed here for a Jimmy Buffet concert in Bangor and the accommodations, the breakfast and the host were wonderful. We were on a motorcycle this trip and found everybody quite welcoming. I would highly recommend the Brewster for other motorcyclists or automobile travelers. We are very much looking forward...

Charming and historical building, clean and well-appointed rooms, friendly proprietor, ample breakfast, reasonably-priced, friendly to families. Mark was attentive to our needs and helpful about local attractions. We would stay there again!

We had a wonderful trip, to visit old friends, and see the sights, in and around Dexter, and very much enjoyed our stay at The Brewster Inn. Mark was a most knowledgeable "tour guide," providing insights and information about what to do, and places of interest, in the area. The estate was clean and comfortable, and made for a very...

We only stayed one night at the Brewster Inn, but enjoyed our brief stay. The inn is beautifully decorated, and Mark is a great host. Breakfast was very nice as well, and as we were traveling quite a distance the next day, we appreciated the buffet-style breakfast which allowed us to check out earlier than at some B&B's. Good value...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
“A touch of England brought to Maine” courtesy of your English host Mark Stephens. A romantic, friendly, incredibly comfortable National Register bed and breakfast located in Dexter, Maine which is just 15 minutes off I95 and 45 minute drive to the Maine coastline, Bangor and the beautiful, scenic Moosehead Lake and Mount Katahdin region of Maine. My knowledge of the area and things to do and see is excellent. Whether you want to go moose watching, white water rafting, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, fishing, wildlife watching, snowmobiling, ATV’s, ski-ing, apple picking, antiquing, whatever you want to do, just tell me and I will know the best places to be, things to see and the right people to contact. It’s all about giving my guests the best experience possible in my part of Maine. Stay for a night or maybe a few nights, unpack, treat the Brewster Inn like home, come and go as you please and have a great time. Room prices inc breakfast, Wi-Fi, really comfortable beds, flat panel TV’s. Each guestroom has its own bathroom; some guestrooms have a fridge, microwave or fireplace. The Honeymoon Suite has a large 2 person whirlpool. The Brewster Inn is a former Maine Governor and Government Senators family home and it’s a great place to stay. Have a read of the reviews to see what other guests say. I always try incredibly hard to give every guest that walks through my door, the best stay ever ... more   less
