Our group ( 2 couples ) had an exceptional visit to goose cove and will be back. The location was stunning, the cabins were simple and clean - the gem was Suzen and her story...the drinks at the bar were exceptional delivered with Portuguese flair and flavor, our dinner on closing weekend was great and breakfast with her joining our...

On each of our visits, we had a room on the deck, with a water view - simple and comfortable - we hiked around to the beach and thru the fir tree filled woods - the breakfasts were fantastic - eaten outside in the summer and in, come fall - the wait staff were personable and courteous - Suzen, the...

The place is absolutely beautiful. Suzen is a fantastic host and owner. I had the pleasure of tasting her homemade bread. I´ve seen comments saying that the property is in despair but in my opinion I think it´s cozy and rustic. There is a lot of garbage on the beach however but again I think thats because of the trash...

This little resort is located way off the beaten path and has stunning location right on the water. The restaurant on the property is very good and we found staff to be friendly and accommodating. Never saw the owners and we were there 3 days. Cabins are basic and in need of updating from bathrooms to decor to bed linens....

Goose Cove Resort has the best food, cabins, and views in all of Deer Isle. The owner, Sue and Brad, offer nothing but hospitality, kindness, and a great time. I would never stay anywhere else on the isle. The food at the Cockatoo restaurant is like no other, by far the best and most fresh seafood I've ever had. Definitely...

A group of 8 needed a place to sleep for one night prior to leaving for our adventure on Stone Island. Our needs were that the place was close to our destination, fairly inexpensive and clean. Boy, were we blown away with this little slice of heaven in the woods. The cabins are so quint and each had a view...

Suzanne was very sweet, Not only did she make room for us on a sunday labor day weekend , when all the other hotels in the area who were overcharging , customers Susanne the owner stayed the course of her purest heart, (impossible to find these days) and gave us a fair rate. The room in a cottage was clean,...

Just returned from a weekend stay. Hostess was a little snippy when we asked about dinner reservations. The beach was covered with trash!! Our cabin had railings falling off the deck and no door handle on the inside of the screen door. There was also a sewer pipe that was dumping waste water out in front of our deck a...

The cottage we got was great: quiet ,clean, gorgeus view . Really a good choice of you decide to spend 3 nights far from any kind of noise source. 10 minutes from Stonington and you can take a ferry to the Isle au Haut which I reccomend.. The restaurant closeby cockatoo, a portugese restaurant can be chosen if you do not...

What a beautiful, relaxing place! The Goose Cove Lodge and Cockatoo Restaurant are a bit off the beaten path, but well worth the drive. Just keep following the signs until the dirt road opens up to the waterfront property. I was surprised to find the cottages, rooms and restaurant more upscale (yet still with a friendly, low-key vibe) than expected....
