Hard to describe how lovely Deer Isle is - from the drive over the suspension bridge, lovely villages, beautiful quiet beaches and the beauty of Pilgrims Inn. We stayed in Ginny Cottage which is quaint, spotless, relaxing. We ate breakfast and dinner in Pilgrims Inn and the chef is fantastic - the Red Quinoa and Kale Entree is surely award...

Pilgrim's Inn is more a small, boutique hotel rather than a B&B, or even a country inn. As the "timeless island elegance" motto indicates, it has some pretensions, and there are some very nice things about it. The library with over stuffed leather chairs was particularly nice to linger in. The staff is helpful, nice, and very professional. My reservations...

This historic building (portions date from the 18th century) was a convenient and comfortable base for visiting Deer Isle, Stonington, Blue Hill and Castine. Each room is different. We had one on the top floor, which is a bit of climb up the stairs (no elevator) but with a great view of the water. For anyone with mobility issues, choose...

We greatly enjoyed our evening in Pilgrim's Inn on Deer Isle. The water front view is fabulous, and the inn itself is quiet, charming, and offers a step into our American architectural past. The restaurant is excellent.

Beautiful location. The rooms are comfortable. Nice common areas and the gardens surrounding the property are lovely. Grab an Adirondack chair and enjoy the view of the water ! Breakfast that was included in our stay was nice. The landscape of Deer Isle is stunning, especially the coast and water. If you are looking for an area that is super...

We stayed here just after the inn opened for the season and thoroughly enjoyed our third visit in recent years. The staff is always friendly and welcoming; the room [we stayed in the Rose Cottage] was comfortable and inviting; and the food was outstanding. You won't get better breakfasts anywhere. Make dinner reservations if you can get them, because the...

This is our second stay at the Pilgrim's Inn, and it was as wonderful as the first time we visited over eight years ago. Even though it was built in the 18th century, it has been totally updated to an upscale inn while still remaining true to its historical charm and place in the Deer Isle community. The restaurant is...

This place makes me wish I had not ever set foot in a regular hotel. This place is a diamond in the rough. Just adorable!!! We stayed in Ginny cottage 2 and it had a kitchen and sitting room/living room that gave us lots of room, besides the obvious bedroom with a heater in the room. Neat and clean with...

If you want a fantastic, quiet, view, chairs by the water with crabs scurrying at your feet, and food that is second to none, take the time to drive to this old historic inn. We stayed in Room 5 and it was large, comfortable and very clean.
