Could be the best resort in Lapland BUT the level of service and facilities is six feet below average bad. Slopes are best in Finland but i do not recommend the hotel nor the cafe in the hotel. The food at the cafe was sold out several times. The restaurant is lacking personel. Overall terrbile and bad managed.

Modern hotel in front of the best slopes in Finland. This could be the best ski hotel in Finland. Staff seems to try hard during these difficult times but some things are a bit wrong. Rooms are nice and spacious with great views. Big bathroom. Some could say rooms are even luxurious. Small table, fridge and bigger sofa would be nice Some things in the room and hotel were broken. Why not fix them and make the hotel look better. Room was not cleaned daily. Just let customers know this while in check in. Breakfast was with very limited offerings. No orange juice every day, not good bread etc. Far from what you would expect from a 4 star hotel. Gala dinner was good. Otherwise the menu was a limited bar menu. Website is not updated and lacks a lot of information about the restaurant and the resort offerings. Swimming pool is really cold.  I heard some improvements had beed done to slopes. Thanx for that. Despite some negative experiences I hope to come back some day.

Great hotel and facilities, but inadequate service level shocks you. For the 200€ per night in December peak time one would expect basic services like daily cleaning of hotel rooms. Reception apologized but said they have staff to only clean rooms maybe every 3rd day. Really, for 200€ per night? I asked to get the room cleaned on day two, but no one had come by end of day. Need to go ask for clean towels myself. In a hostel this might be ok, but not in even an average grade hotel... I still love the location and the hotel facilities. But cannot recommend for this price.

Nice hotel with a Beautiful room for two with ensuites including kettle tea and coffee making facility. A lift facility and very friendly helpful staff. The hotel pool and sauna facility included was first class. Be advised if you do not have transport you should book all inclusive as no other restaurants are near.this is in the countryside forests and lakes. A quiet retreat with a good selection of runs through all are on T bar lifts. Recommended for the serious skier.

I stayed in a chalet with my two children. It was very comfortable with all the modern conveniences of home. Fully fitted kitchen, WIFI, Flat screen tv, Drying Cupboard, Wetroom bathroom, Sauna, Two double bedrooms with fitted wardrobes downstairs, One double bed and two single beds, sink and toilet upstairs. The sauna was easy to use but for extra help there is a manual explaining how to use all the appliances in cabin found in the sitting room. If you wish to use the wood burner I suggest you bring firelighters and matches / lighter, these were not provided. To note, there are no shops locally so either pack what supplies you might like in your case or stop at a supermarket near the airport and stock up on what's needed. The shuttle bus, this picked us up every morning at 9:00am prompt for breakfast and took us back in the evening 7:00 pm after dinner. The meals were eaten at the hotel in the restaurant as we were half board It is possible to walk to the cabin, but its a good 15 - 20 mins. I praise the hotel and restaurant staff highly - nothing was too much trouble. Unfortunately my son became poorly with flu while on holiday. The staff did everything they could to make sure he had some fun and that he was comfortable when feeling too poorly to leave the cabin. It was simple things like packing up an evening meal to take back to the cabin for him, arranging a ski mobile ride to cheer him up and loaning ski gloves for the week when mine decided to fall apart that really made an impression. I was sad to leave which is a sure indication that we all had a fantastic holiday. Thank you all!

We stayed in one of the Suomu Chalets 1,3 km away from the slopes. The house was surprisingly good, new and stylish, warm and comfortable. Nothing to complain about. Two bedrooms with double beds downstairs and two more beds and a toilet upstairs. There were a kitchen with containers, dishmachine, sauna, washingmachine, fireplace,tv, soap, shampoo etc. The free wifi was good. There were also a very nice new and fresh spa (a swimming pool and saunas) in the hotel. We made our breakfast and dinners mainly ourselves, but there is a restaurant in the hotel too. It might be a good idea to bring some food for the first day if staying in chalets and breakfast in the hotel was not included.

This is a ski resort on the Arctic Circle, very remote and very niche. We chose it for its remoteness and natural beauty (which nobody could dispute), but didn’t realise that the arctic cold would extend indoors to the staff. They were largely unwelcoming, standoffish and barely helpful. There is nothing else here except the hotel, so the prices for all extras (anything other than breakfast) are nothing short of extortionate. If you go there, take supplies! The nearest supermarket is 15km away and that only carries the bare minimum of products.

If you are happen to have a car then choose the chalet !! Of course everything is not a walking distance like in the city. We are looking for something like this so we really enjoyed it to drive around with a thick snow on the road. We spent a week there and it was amazing!! It has 2 bedroom downstairs and another communal bedroom upstairs. It has one big shower room with sauna and washing machine, dryer, fully equipped big kitchen, and a fireplace plus a room full of dry woods. On the first day we don´t really know how to operate the sauna, we called the hotel and somebody came almost immediately and explained it. We really love the sauna and used it everyday !! It was so quiet & peacefull. We came to the restaurant at the main building to have dinner and it was not dissapointing, try the elk burger!! The breakfast was ok as we came there almost everything already empty. So we decided just to buy groceries (the nearest around 30 mins) and had breakfast ourselves. We asked if we can have a late checkout and they let us stay without any charge, which was so nice as we have 2 babies. We are planning to come back again to Lapland and this chalet are just too awesome to be missed.

Room Tip: The chalet is perfect if you have a car, otherwise it is too far to walk for breakfast.

This is the most awful complex! The first two nights we planned to spend in the chalet, and the next 6 nights in the hotel room. On the first day, when we arrived, we got keys half an hour later than the official check-in hour. Ok, we waited. They gave us the keys, but in the chalet we could get only after an hour and a half, because we had to go to the reception again, which was 2 km from the chalet, and also explain to the sleepy boy at the reception that we cann't open the door. After much persuasion to help us, he deigned to make a call and send to the chalet a man who, at the opening of the door, did some tricky actions: propped the door, scrolled the key in the lock, then pushed it against the door, then pressed the key for a half a turn. And only after that the door opened! And also, it found out that bed linen in the chalet is available for an extra fee. We took it, but it stank !!! I had to wash it! We could not go to bed for a long time, because the the bed linen were had been washing and drying. When we went into the chalet, there was a terrible smell, like the smell of rotten food and dirty dishes. It's horrible. The smell came from the kitchen table, the carpet, the stove, the dishes. It was stank so that I can hardly describe words. We washed all, so we made full cleaning! In the end, despite the check-in supposed at 16.00, we were able to relax only at 23.00. The next day, we left for affairs, and when we arrived in the evening, we found a very cold house, hot water turned off and a non-functioning water heater (so, heating didn't work and the water didn't work)!!! It was at 20.00. We went to the reception, where a sleepy boy came out again, who said that we had no problems. We asked for a long time to solve the problem, but he was standing and saying nothing, did nothing. After some time of our requests, he deigned to call someone. He called for 15 minutes, but he didn't get through. Then he and several of his co-workers told us that they didn't have people and equipment for solve this problem. And in general, they blamed us, didn't tried to help us and that this is our fault and we are to blame because we broke down it. Awesome customer orientation! We left without solving the problem. We tried to repair it, but we couldn't. After a few of my calls a man came to our chalet, who introduced as a major manager #HotelliSuomutunturi. He was sitting with us in the house until 00.30. And every half hour he was saying that the water appear soon. At the same time, he was doing nothing for this. In the process, it seemed to him that the water appeared and he began to joke. He was talking very rude and impudent, as with a complete nonentity. He offered that we move to the hotel room, but hotel room was much cheaper than chalet. In the end, being in the chalet, we didn't rest at all, we were solving the problems only! And the problems is only this hotel. Naturally, the hotel's management didnэt care about us. They refused to return the money, they refused give us an extra day at the chalet, the problem was not solved. All their actions showed that the hotel's guests for them are just a bag of money that can live in unbearable conditions for a lot of money. I think that this hotel doesn't must have a place on #bookingcom. The hotel #HotelliSuomutunturi shouldn't receive guests. People like this manager shouldn't communicate with people. The management and the staff of the hotel #HotelliSuomutunturi are notorious swindlers who simply collect money from tourists. Of course, after these adventures in the chalet, we didn't planed to stay in the hotel. In the end, we checked-in there, but we didn't stay there and went to another normal cottage. Unfortunately, #bookingcom didn't react to our claims in any way and we are lost our money. Unfortunately, no one will return the time and nerves to us, but I would hope that #bookingcom will pay attention to this #HotelliSuomutunturi and this situation, and also take serious measures. Now I'll tell in general about this complex: the hotel #HotelliSuomutunturi is orientated towards Asians. There are a lot of Chinese people, whose are resting in #HotelliSuomutunturi. They are arrive on big buses several times a day, so the level of service is appropriate. The chalet in which we tried to live accommodates for 8 people, but there is only one shower! In the chalet there is very dirty, so there is hardly ever cleaned up at all, all the rags stink, they all wip with these dirty rags. So everything: furniture, kitchen, stove, shelves - everything stinks. From the carpet something incredible smells, as if something was spilled. Dust and dirt are everywhere! Washing machine - from the last century, it works very strange. Hot water doesn't heat up enough, it's a bit warm. They have water heating, so when you heat the floors - there isn't hot water in the tap, but if you turn off the floors, then there is a chance to wash with water a little warm. At the reception, the Chinese are work. The hotel's manager is a very rude and unpleasant person. The slope is terrible, all old and not well-groomed, a lot of accidents on the slope due to poor organization of space. The entire territory is made very poorly, a dilapidated building, not a ennobled territory. In general, disgusting place. I don't advise to consider this ski resort, for skiing, for living.
