Another visit to Caribou to attend a family wedding and another fantastic stay at the Old Village Inn. Stayed four nights and got to try another wonderful room. Our first two nights were spent in the wonderful Old Iron room. A comfortable room with a Queen and twin bed, lots of windows for cross ventilation and ceiling fan as a...

We were in Caribou for an indeterminate stay, helping a balloon in an attempt to fly across the Atlantic. The schedule was weather dependent. We found total cooperation in arranging a place to stay in a place where there are not many places to stay. If there were multiple choices, this B&B would be our first choice. The owners were...

Where do I begin?! Amazing place. 5 stars is simply not enough. Stay here; it will be the nicest place you ever stayed. (That’s my short version.) While I was in Maine, I wanted to travel to the northern portion along the Canadian border. Hotels are few and far between where I was looking to go, so I found this...

We really enjoyed our first stay a few years ago, but this visit definitely cemented our appreciation of the Old Iron Inn and its owners. Great location close to downtown, beautiful house, interesting decor and antiques, very helpful travel advice, and fantastic breakfasts -- all as before. But this time we were especially taken with how Kate and Kevin have...

I recently stayed five nights at the Old Iron Inn (being in town for my daughter's wedding) and it was the perfect place to stay. I stayed in the "Old Iron Room" and was very comfortable: I enjoyed a nice private bath and a Queen sized bed. It was centrally located in Caribou and I was able to take many...

I made a last minute switch from a chain hotel to Old Iron, and I am so glad I did! The stay was perfect. The room was big, clean, and beautifully decorated. Every detail has been thought of to ensure a guest's comfort. I slept soundly, and then woke to a delicious breakfast! As everyone says the muffins are amazing,...

Make a yearly trip to Caribou to see family and always manage to come the week of Swedish Festival and the inn is already booked. This year missed this event and was able to book a room for the four nights of our stay. Kate and Kevin and fabulous hosts and the inn is a beautiful, well maintained hundred year...

Great B&B in town operated by a really fantastic couple, Kate and Kevin. Kate's breakfasts are fresh and fabulous. Great rooms. And the history contained in the house in antiques and books and yes, sad irons, is incredible. I would love to go back and stay a few days just to sit in one of the sitting areas and read...

Kate and Kevin are the most welcoming hosts for this beautiful bed and breakfast, made us feel right at home and pampered at the same time. They have a staggering wealth of knowledge about a lot of things, including the irons and other antiques. Each room (only three) is filled with beautiful antique furniture that is also beautiful and comfortable....

I was in Caribou for business and stayed 11 nights (1 at the inn and 10 at the furnished apartment). Both places were exceptionally clean! The apartment is amazing for longer stays. Extremely cozy, beautifully decorated, and the kitchen is well equipped with anything you could need. The innkeeper, Kate even had fresh flowers at the bedside for me which...
