This little spot is such a well cared-for and clean place. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom clean, the decor bright and not fussy, and very quiet. Don't be fooled by the outside - these owners have done a fabulous converting an old-fashioned motel into modern lodging. The continental breakfast was charming, pottery mugs, blueberry scones and fruit. I'd definitely...

We stayed two nights at Birchwood. To be honest, I still don't have a clear cut decision on what I thought about this place. There were some great points about it, but there were also some things that would deter me from staying there again. I'll list them out so you can decide if it sounds like a place that...

Very simple and wonderful. Hotel staff is friendly but not overly intrusive. No late-night check-in might be a hindrance for some, but we were glad to have a deadline to get there. Rooms have wood floors and clean, comfortable beds. The view of the ocean in the distance is nice and the breeze flows right through. Small eco-friendly touches are...

I stayed here twice during my trip, coming and going. Very comfortable bed, 2 wingback chairs for reading, extremely clean throughout. Flower boxes on the long porch get visited by hummingbirds and there are chairs outside with a lovely water view. A light breakfast is included and there is a discount for returning guests. It's conveniently located to Camden but...

Great place to stay in the Midcoast with wonderful hosts. Clean, comfortable rooms with very friendly and environmentally conscious hosts who work hard to make their guests comfortable. Delicious scones and fresh fruit salad for breakfast. Much more reasonably priced than in town motels and away from the congestion in Camden. Right on route 1 , but noise not a...

While the rooms are not fancy, they have good mattresses and showers. The continental breakfast had delicious scones! The tv worked. The garden out back is gorgeous! You are provided with chairs and a small table so you can sit outside and look at the ocean. All good!

My husband & I stayed two nights at the Birchwood as part of our anniversary trip to Maine. Jenny & Eric immediately made us feel welcome, providing comfortable, clean accommodations nestled in beautiful, cozy surroundings. This BnB/motel is conveniently located not far from downtown Camden. Jenny was so helpful with providing suggestions for things to see in the area and...
